The Beijing Airport Garden Hotel was ok. The ladies on the reception desk were terrific and really tried very hard to communicate with us in their best English. There was no air conditioning in the room which was unfortunate because there was evidence that it used to work or at least it exists. I doubtfully would stay there again due to the fact that it is so far out of Beijing and the taxi drivers can never find it.
Thanks for asking, Stacey

Firstly, may I say that the services of Travel China Guide were excellent in finding us accommodation.
We stayed at this hotel for one evening on our return journey home in July 2008. On arrival at the hotel we found the reception staff not particularly helpful and the lack of English was a disadvantage and even more our lack of Chinese! We were allocated a room which was basic and in need of decoration. There was a very unpleasant smell in the room which persisted despite leaving windows open constantly. The buffet breakfast the next morning was cold and quite unappetising possibly resulting in stomach upset on our arrival back in Britain.
We asked for directions to a shopping centre nearby for last minute shopping and a taxi driver at the desk said that he would take us. We believed this to be part of the service of the hotel and expected to pay a reasonable amount - this was not the case!! This was probably one of the pirate taxis which obviously hang around hotels. The hotel did not seem to discourage this as we saw the same driver in the reception area later that day. ALWAYS insist on a meter taxi as we had to pay 200 Yuan for a return journey and that was after refusing to pay what he asked for.
Hotel is convenient for the airport and the free courtesy bus was a good service.

Thanks for Your mail, and sorryy for my answering delay
Beijing Airport Garden Hotel is a typical airport hotel (bed and breakfast) Service was ok, free bus to airport I arrived late in the evening, and left early in the morning, so I did not use any of the facilities recommendable for short stay.
Hope this is something you can use Best regards Tage

Thank you for you letter. I have to say that I was 100% happy with the service of TCG when I booked the Beijing Airport Garden Hotel.
The price was good and I noticed when I was paying that my price was at a very large discount. They said it was because I booked on the internet.
The hotel was convenient for the airport. Breakfast was good. The only negative is that the room was in need of decoration and had a smell in it that was not pleasant. I think it needed a new bed! Anyway for one night it was quite adequate.
I will probably use TCG again when I come to China again in February 2007. Thank you for your follow up interest. Yours Sincerely J. Marsden.

Hello,
I would like to say that I was very satisfied with the TCG booking centre and the service of staff, facilities and the location of the hotel was excellent. Two minor points which I think could improve service: 1) The requirement of fax to book the hotel, internet would have been more convenient and faster. 2) The hotel wasn't able to accept payment using my Switch/Maestro (cirrus) debit card, even though it worked fine in ATM's all over China.

NEE HOW,
WE ARE SATISFIED WITH YOUR SERVICE AND THE HOTELS. THEY WERE QUITE A STEP DOWN FROM 5 STAR ACCCOMODATIONS, BUT THE LOWER PRICES ARE WORTH IT FOR US.
WE STAYED JUNE 4TH AT BEIJING AIRPORT GARDEN, BUT HAD TO CANCEL JUNE 12 DUE TO AIR CHINA 14-HOUR FLIGHT DELAY FROM OUTER MONGOLIA. THANKS FOR YOU ASSURANCE THAT YOU WOULDNT CHARGE ME FOR THAT DATE.
WE WOULD REALLY PREFER NON SMOKING ROOMS!!!1

The service provided by the TCG Booking Center was impeccable. The voucher sheets that you prepared were readily accepted and understood at both hotels and the prices I had to pay were exactly those that were agreed upon. Furthermore, the fact sheets, including driving instructions in Chinese, were very helpful when hiring a taxi.
The Beijing Airport Garden Hotel is excellent for a traveller who only needs a one-night stopover and is returning to the airport the next morning. The location is very convenient compared to the airport, although it is of course quite inconvenient if the visitor wishes to visit the city of Beijing. In that case a taxi is the only realistic option and it is important to insist on a real taxi with a meter. The staff at the hotel had some difficulty in understanding that I was not interested in a pirate taxi. The shuttle service from the hotel to the airport is excellent, but it was impossible to find the shuttle at the airport when I arrived. There were no signs at the airport that could help. I took a taxi (both times) and I suggest that you warn future clients that the trip with a real taxi will only cost 13-15 Yuan. A pirate taxi actually "offered" to drive me to the hotel for the price of 200 Yuan!!! I was very insulted, since I knew that this was much more than 10 times too much, but that of course has nothing to do with the hotel itself. The hotel room and other facilities offered by the hotel fully met my expectations.

Very bad stay. The rooms smell dust and were very dark.

Thanks for you email regarding our stay at the Beijing Airport Garden Hotel. Your booking service(TCG) made for the hotels was good and took the worry out of finding accommodation on arrival.
The free courtesy bus on our arrival was very good, but on our departure we were confronted with a gang of youths who hijacked our luggage and took us to a floor below the departure lounge and demanded Y200.00 for their so called service, which we found very intimidating. While we realise this is not the fault of the hotel, we think other guests should be warned that this sort of behaviour could occur.
The hotel was as we expected, the staff were excellent and the location was very convenient.
