I am very satisfied with Yangtze Hotel, staff and service, since the last 3 years i have booked this location during my stay in Shanghai.

The hotel, the location was great. The rooms were a little small, but comfortable. The staff was also very helpful.Your booking process was quite simple and user-friendly.

we are not happy with the booking arrangement of Shanghai Yangtze Hotel and Hangzhou Friendship Hotel. As we have made it very clear at the booking time and got your confirmation of the availability of double bed room in both hotels, when we arrived, the staff told us no such specification / arrangement were made. In Shanghai Yangtze Hotel, the staff even asked us to push the 2 single beds together ourselves, such unprofessional request was of course rejected by us. After reasoning with them again and telling them we had actually used the credit card to secure our room due to late check in, they finally agreed to ask the housekeeping to push 2 single beds together to make a double bed. We faced the same situation in Hangzhou.
Yangtze Hotel is conveniently located in Shanghai shopping area and near to the train station. But the hotel service is highly unprofessional, esp. the receptionists during our late check-in

My wife and I have just returned ...

My wife and I have just returned from a five night stay in Shanghai to celebrate our fortieth wedding anniversary.

We are very pleased we chose to stay at the Yangtze hotel mainly because it is so near the main sights.

The room we had,had everything we needed,including TV,fridge,small balcony and a very comfortable bed.The separate bathroom was fine with bath,shower,hair dryer and constant hot(very!)water.

The girls at reception were very helpful and attentive and there was always someone at the front desk speaking to you almost before you presented yourself. I like that!!

Downside>>> yes it is noisy especially during the day ,car horns continiously but what do you expect if you stay in the centre of a city! Frankly it didn't bother us at all. There is also construction work. New buildings adjacent to the hotel working round the clock but again it didn't bother us. There was certainly no noise in the hotel itself. All in all a very pleasant stay

PS the breakfast for 38rmb was good value and perfectly adequate.

I am back from my trip to China. I appreciated your service since I found my reservations through your service were perfect at every three hotels I stayed.
Now my feedback about Yangtze Hotel, Shanghai, as I promised before my departure for the trip. The best thing I liked about Yangtze Hotel was its convenient location. It was located along a small street, but it was close to People's Square, and to the subway station where subway line 1 and 2 intersects. I felt like everything is within walking distance from the hotel. Employees of the hotel were also very courteous and kind. The room size seemed to be too small for the price I paid though. And one thing I hated was the sales call into my room. I went to bed early because I was tired, then the telephone rang. When I picked up the phone, it turned out to be a sales call from the massage service. Above is the sum up of my experience at Yangtze Hotel. Thank you again for your kind service.

Thank you very much for the very good service you provide to me. All is the very best you have offered to me. The Yangtse Hotel in Shanghai is a good hotel with some facts that are not so good. In the moment they renovate the hotel and sometimes it is very noise and with not so good smell in the room. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but a lot of them don't speak english. For me it is this fact not a problem but it will be better for the overall service to speak more english. I think when renovation is finish it will be a good value for travellers and businessmen.

The Yangtze Hotel is at a good locastion but I wished the staff spoke more english. the staff was ok. not exceptional but they are okay. as for facilities. the rooms even though they said they just remodeled recently... the room still seemed a bit old. price
wasnt really worth the room standard but i guess if you are looking for location then it is okay. the subway station is barely a 3 min walk away. the breakfast wasn't all that great either.
