Thank you for your email. I am happy to say that overall I was very pleased with my stay in Shenzhen. However I do have comments about the hotel in particular.

Firstly I would like to commend Mr. Simon Xie, Front office manager who is an excellent employee and PR person. He was very helpful all through out our stay in Days Hotel. My biggest issue was that most of the other staff don't speak English and hence communication can be very frustrating. The hotel has lots of guests of varied nationalities and hence it is imperative that there is a proper English speaking person in the reception, room service at all times. Ordering even a cup of tea was difficult as no one in the coffee shop or room service spoke English. In fact we had to call room service personnel to our room and show her the picture in the menu to be able to order tea.

Second point that I noticed is that many of the guests complain that their credit card wont work. This happened even with me. When my credit card was used I received a SMS from the bank saying that money was debited to my card but the hotel reception insisted that my credit card did not work. I had to make 3 long distance calls and 2 faxes to my bank in Bahrain to put the transaction on hold. Also since I had to deposit in cash I ended up running short on cash. Though we had enough Bahrain Dinars and UAE Dirhams none of the foreign currency exchanges or Bank of China accepted Middle East Currencies. It would have been better if we were informed in advance that there might be issues using credit cards and should carry enough cash in US Dollars.

Our booking with Travel China Guide went seamlessly well with no issues at all. I will very much appreciate you putting the above mentioned issues across to the Days Hotel so that in future the guests will have a much better experience. Looking forward to visiting Shenzhen again.

Thank you for the follow up review on my latest booking with your company. Here are my feedbacks:

The Days Hotel Luohu Shenzhen is a fantastic hotel, new and clean (in fact I did my survey when I was in Shenzhen last year), the front office, housekeeping staff are friendly and helpful, but not the coffeehouse staff. Firstly, before they cleared the breakfast buffet, they don't even bother to give the last call to their guests who are still eating. That particular morning, when I walked to the buffet table and noticed they have cleared the milk (the coffee and tea still there), I kindly requested some milk from the staff, the answer given was a big "DON'T HAVE" in Chinese! The food they served was very disappointing, least to say. For the entire 4 mornings there, you can be sure they serve the same food. As an affiliate hotel of Days International, I feel they should do something to upkeep the name and standard of this hotel.

Your company is efficient in handling my booking, as compared to a bad experience that I had last year with a different company and hotel in China. There was no record of my booking when I reached the hotel. So I must give a compliment to your company this time!

Thank you for touching base with me after, my China travels! First, I would like to convey to you, that TCG was a most professional, and sincere business experience! Further, Amy Jian/Doris Wang were invaluable to me! Thank you Amy and Doris for ensuring that my hotel booking, and changes to Itinerary went just fine! You obviously take great pride in your TCG work endeavor!

The Days Hotel Luohu Shenzhen was a little troublesome initially, as there was some construction going on around the building, and the entrance seemed to be obscure from plain view. After some scouting around, my wife and I finally found the entrance. I was a little disappointed that no one at the hotel reception could speak a word of English? And the perceived mood of staff was generic. The room was fine though, sufficiently clean and comfortable. Overall, my short stay here was fine, more like a three star on a good day. Having traveled for 26 hrs, and almost 10,000 miles, negotiating Hong Kong and Customs, to get to China, Day's Hotel Luohu Shenzhen, I feel compelled to suggest that Hotel management and staff completely missed the greater public relations opportunities when making that first impression at reception, during my stay, and through checkout.

Days hotel, I like many because it is calm and nice, even if price are very cheap for good prestige, all is good, nice and well done, especially when in executive level room, room are large and well equipped.

Generally, staff is okay, and no problems, surrounding also is good

Actually I have no problem and I am very satisfied by your service and will recommend to my friends.

Thank you for your invite to participate on my comments of the hotels that I stayed in during my visits to China.

As for the Days Hotel, the services are very good but the hotel location was not convenient for our shopping and transport was quite difficult as it was in the main road.

My booking experiences with you have been very good so far. In fact you did tell me that if I cannot fax you my credit cards, you will trust me to honor my bookings with you. The only problem I had with you was that you did not take my words when I told you that I did stay at the Days Hotel which you said I was a no-show and you also said that Mr. Lee Thien Fook double booked with you. I am the only person to do all our bookings with you. Anyway, I am glad that the matter was cleared up without any hassles.

I will be going to Macau and China again in August 2008 and look forward to do my hotels reservations with you.

In the mass: not too good, not too ...

In the mass: not too good, not too bad. The hotel entrance is too small to be found, it's lobby is on the 5th floor. I'm not used to such a structure. But the service is good. Days Hotel Luohu is close to the train station, just walking distance, 10 minutes drive to the Luohu pass, very convenient. It values the money I spent.
