1. About Heng Feng Hai Yue International Hotel, Shenzhen:

The accommodations were comfortable. The breakfast restaurant was not good. The staff are not service oriented and need more training. This is common for many hotels I have stayed at in China. Please use the 5 star hotels in Hong Kong as a reference for good service.

2. About TCG Booking Center:

Pricing should be consistent for on line booking and local booking. My colleague booked through the hotel in China directly and received a rate much lower than through your booking service. Also, the payment confirmation process is not typical for on line booking and as a result I was not sure whether the booking occurred until I checked in at the hotel. I had no problems with the the booking or payment. The room was available when I got to the hotel and they had my reservation. I suggest you look at other western hotels (Hyatt) and electronic booking agencies (Expedia.com) in order to standardize your process. By doing that, you will eliminate the apprehension of your customers.

I will likely stay in this hotel again but I will probably eat elsewhere.

[+] For the different price from other agencies, We do have consulted the hotel about this question and were informed by them that the quotations in the booking centers are the same. The hotel always gives a preferential price to our booking center which is much lower than the market price of the hotel. If you are a walk-in client, the room rate is much higher than that of the booking center. However, we are informed by the hotel that they give a lower price to their members and you can apply for a member card at CNY3,000. Thus, if you hold a member card of the hotel, you may enjoy lower price than that of the booking center. However, in the peak season, the rooms are not guaranteed for members.

By the way, not all the hotels have member cards and the price we offered is still much lower than the hotel market price. Hope for your better understanding.

[+] For the way of confirmation, to be frank, different clients have different requirement, some one prefer prepayment while some one not. And in order to offer more convenience and safety, we always confirm the booking with our clients by email and offer them pay at the hotel reception after check in. And the hotel voucher and address will be provided as the booking final confirmation.

I really enjoyed staying at Heng Feng Hai Yue in Shenzhen. The staff, location and quality of hotel is excellent. I will continue to stay there on my trips to Shenzhen and will continue to use Travel China Guide on bookings for hotel stay while doing work in China.
