Book This Hotel Comments about This Hotel
The Suzhou Overseas Hotel is a beautifully appointed establishment, both inside and out, and a welcome contrast to generic hotels. Check-in and check-out were managed efficiently. Breakfast is convenient and adequate, if nothing special. The computer in our "Digital Room" looked like it had just come out of the box, but the connection was slow, and at 25 RMB a day, arguably a little over-priced. The location is convenient to all the sights, although hailing a cab at the entrance took some patience. All in all, it's a lovely hotel and good value at a reasonable rate. We will definitely make it our place to stay in Suzhou.

The booking was quick and efficient. The only suggestion I would make would be to remind those customers who intend to pay by cash when they check in, that in addition to the cost of the lodging, a deposit of a few hundred RMB will be held for the payment of various amenities for purchase in the room itself (internet, drinks, condoms, etc), which will be returned to the customer at check-out, minus the extra expenses, if any.

Cordially,
Thomas Caron

Suzhou Overseas Hotel is quite remote from the interesting parts of Suzhou (not that Suzhou is interesting compared to Hangzhou or Shaoxing). I found its location a major disadvantage. The room was fine, and the garden out the front of the hotel was delightful.

TCG is very good. I have no complaints, and will always use TCG to book hotels.

Thank you for your email.

My stay at the Suzhou Overseas Chinese Hotel was very pleasant. The room was very clean and decorated very well - white linens with Chinese silk cushions and runner accents on the bed, chairs and side table, desk, tv, internet, fridge ect. Very modern and clean bathroom. The entrance to the hotel is very pretty, like a Chinese garden with pond, bridges, and pavilions.

The staff was very helpful and although I don't speak Chinese and they often couldn't speak English, they bent over backwards to help me, including my ticket to get to Shanghai.

My only suggestion to future visitors is to get familiar with the buses - it is a straight road to the heart of the old city and very easy and cheap. Taxis are very cheap, 10 yuan but some nights, because the city was so active, I walked back to the hotel when I couldn't get a taxi. After a long day of sightseeing and walking, although great for my health, it was very tiring. Whereas the bus can do it in a few minutes and because it's a main road, there are lots going past the hotel. By the way, the walk is a must at least once because there are parklike paths along the road, canals, parks with people playing checkers or musical instruments and singing etc.

Also TCG booking, it made so easy to book and confirm the hotel. When I arrived, the front desk was ready for me and all details were exactly as I booked. I will definitely use you again for all my hotel bookings. Thank you

I realy enjoyed my stay at this ...
I realy enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Although language was difficult, the staff realy tried to help. The hotel had a chinese feel to it and dinner was realy good with plenty of variety.

The staff was cordial and kind. Actually, it was my fault for not checking about a hairdryer in the bathroom. Most of the hotels that I have stayed with in China had
hairdryers. Otherwise, the room was neat and clean as it should be.

I’m satisfied with the booking center. And for the hotel, the facility is good but don’t have a bath tub, there’s no one on the staff knows how to speak in English, but the location are good as well as the surrounding. Thanks?.
