When I went to Kunming last year, I checked into the Weilong. After 1 night鈥檚 stay, I checked out and subsequently, when I returned from Lijiang, I rechecked into the Weilong and was given a discount for the night's stay as well as given a VIP card for a 20% (no time frame) for any future visit. This card was also transferable.

However, when I went to Chengdu and I checked into Garden City Hotel, there was no such service. When I wanted to extend my stay, I was told I had to pay the same amount. I subsequently stayed there for 5 more nights yet there was no discount at all. Eventually, I had to get the hotel travel agent to make my booking for me at a much lower rate. This was quite inconvenient as I had to trouble the travel agent all the time. Maybe the Hotel can look into the same service as provided by Weilong at Kunming.

Overall the service was ok but I just wish they will offer a discount when guest extend there stay.

I would rate the hotel 4 out of 5. It's a good hotel with good enough facilities and is within the city centre. I am happy with that you have a very helpful concierges. One of your staff was also very helpful in assisting me to make a local call as I do not have a China phone card. I like the availability of a free internet at the cafe. The breakfast is reasonably good. My only complain is that the coffee at breakfast is not hot.

It's a breeze booking a room at Garden City.

Hello Lena Qian,

Trip to China is my lifetime exciting experience.

Hotel booking and flight through TCG is greatfully appreciated. I had not any problem throughout my stay. Hotel accepted Credit card as specified in advertisement. All went absolutely wonderful.

Garden City Hotel was great choice. Location, facilities, vacinity, services and hospitality are great. I noticed, I was waiting on check out counter for my turn. Some local guests crossed me and reached to counter clerk from right side directly and were attended first, not respecting the concept of waiting line, both guests and clerks as well.

My room was freezing cold due to faulty heater. I contacted service at 1.30 mid night. Assistant manager attended me very nicely and changed my room without any hesitation. Restaurant food and breakfast buffet was tasty and traditionally cooked according to western and Chinese style.

I will definitely use TCG service in my next trip.

Garden City Hotel is a wonderful hotel in Chengdu. Good location, the hotel enjoys easy access to the train station and the airport, the hotel is also very close to the Business district and the Exhibition center. Room was very clean, and all the facilities work well. The well-mannered hotel staffs are helpful. The hotel is an ideal accommodation in Chengdu, I really enjoyed my staying.

For westerners, booking through TCG ...

For westerners, booking through TCG is excellent. All our booking went purfectly even though we had a couple of last minute changes. Their vouchers and chinese directions worked very well.
We stated at Garden City for a total of 5 nights and it was very good. The staff however speak very little English. The resturant has western meals, however thy still taste chinese.
The big plus is the hotel is very handy to the shops and town square (with its statue of Mao).

I am satisfied with the service of TCG Booking Centre. Rather prompt with the booking response.But I am not satisfied with the facility of Garden City Hotel in Chengdu. As a 4 star hotel,the condition of the room and bathroom is not up to standard/expectation. Room furniture, bath towels and toiletries were rather old and used. It was very disappointing as we move out the next day to Kempinski Hotel in Chengdu.
