The service staff from front desk to concierge is to my expectation & friendly. I will definitely go back to this hotel in the future as there are lots of cheap shopping stuff near the hotel ranging from leather shoes to clothing.

Hotel Canton Landmark is centrally located. It was so easy getting there from the airport using the airport express as the bus stops near the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and courteous. Some of the rooms however that we had booked, particularly the ones with twin beds were uncomfortable as the beds were too hard. I am told by my son that it felt like he was sleeping on a thin mattress on top of wood. It made it difficult for them to turn in bed. Also, the rooms were a little too small for my taste. Otherwise, the hotel was quite good.
TCG was extremely helpful in assisting us with our reservations. I had to make several changes in my reservations and TCG responded quite efficiently and helped us book the rooms we desired. I would use them again in making a reservation for China. In Guangzhou, I may use Hotel Canton Landmark again but I would make sure that the beds are more comfortable. The room I stayed in had a Queensize mattress and was comfortable.

The upgrade from the basic room is ...
The upgrade from the basic room is significant. We initially requested a non-smoking room, but were stuck with a basic smoking room. The upgraded room was nicer however the beds were still a bit hard and the bathroom sliding door got stuck. The service could improve, the English communication was not clear. The restaurant food was nominal, although I was expecting more.

TCG service was excellent, alway ...
TCG service was excellent, alway responsive and timely. The hotel has some rooms that are not up to their 4 star standard. Hope they improve their housekeeping and renovate some of their bathrooms. Still a great bargain for the price and location. We have stayed there over many years and will continue to do so because of their great staff!

TCG booking was as smoothe as silk. The hotel was in an excellent location for wholesale shopping and would highly recommend. Staff were friendly and the food was good and close to some great seafood restaurants.

To whom it may concern,
I booked with another reservation center located in Shanghai. I think the Hotel needs to raise its service standards along with its newer higher prices.
Whilst the staff tried to speak English make no mistakes, they do not understand. The Hotel will not change any money other than the US dollar on the week end and the Bank of China, right next door, only takes the top 10 currencies. We booked for the Landmark suite and was basically overwhelminly disappointed, we had to ask for extra towels for the children, everyday. We even had to ask for the toiletries and coffee to be replenished. The breakfasts was inedible and the staff almost always in a bad mood, not to mention the poor hygeine habbits and the overcooked everything. We had to ask constantly for a cup of tea that never came... The smoking inside was prehistoric and really very bad. The Happy hour (which you pay extra for if go to the club) is only LOCAL beer, no wine, no spirits or anything remotly like a happy hour. I would stay somewhere else, especially if you are considering up-grading like we did and paying alot of Yuan, for not very much. At check out they asked my husband for a face towel and accused him of stealing it, I told them to check the room, sure enough they found it. What a disgrace, never again.

Landmark Hotel is the best hotel for your money, really convenient for the Pearl river, wholesale sites and shopping streets. Excellent service! The beds have been upgraded and can compare to the 4 stars hotels in HK. Great restaurants in the hotel and all around the hotel , from McD to the great Seafood one around the corner. The view from the 27th floor was great and the foot massage on the 7th floor cannot be beat for price and service.

The hotel had printed a city map of Guangzhou for its guests, with photos of some sights.
However, some sight were not marked on the map, and when questioned, the front office staff were not able to provide proper information on exact location and how to go by public bus or train.
They just requested that you take a taxi.
