Lilac International Apartment Suites in GZ :-

Stayed there mid-March '08. Booked a Business Queen-size Bed Room for 3 nights & extended to 5.

Booking via TCG was easy, efficient & excellent as usual. I have used TCG hotel booking a few times before.

The Business Room was small. Beside the queen size bed, there was hardly any space to move. There was a separate shower room/toilet. Quite ok.

There was construction going on just outside the hotel facing our room. It was noisy from as early as 8 am till evening. After 1.5 days, we couldn't bear it any longer and asked for change of room. They refused unless we pay more to change to a more comfortable room on another wing of the hotel. We managed to get them to waive the extra charge for the Standard Twin Room - which was much nicer and worth the extra 10 rmb. Would recommend that guests book the Twin Room rather than the Business Queen-Size rooms.

Service was fine - daily cleaning.
Location - tucked at a remote corner of the GZ Railway South Station. But subway and train well within walking distance.

On a scale of 10, I would rate it 7.

Will book thru TCG again when next visiting China.

I ONCE STAYED IN THIS HOTEL DURING CANTON FAIR 25TH TO 30TH OCT 2006. I LIKE THE CLEANLINESS OF THE HOTEL, CONVENIENT TRANSPORTATION BY TRAIN, BUS AND METRO. I LOVE THIS HOTEL, THE STAFF IS ALSO VERY FRIENDLY.. I WILL USE THIS ONLY HOTEL IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THOUGH THE PRICES ARE A LITTLE HIGH DURING CANTON FAIR TIME..

It’s near by the Guangzhou East railway station. There are metro station and bus station around by the hotel. Transportation is very convenient. The style of hotel appearance is very interesting, just like a villa. There is a courtyard with small fountain in the hotel. It’s very cute and nice. Room is also very clean, bed is spacious. Staffs are very helpful. Due to my flight delay, i arrived at the hotel very late. But the hotel staff kept my room till i arrive, I was so thankful for their kindness. Highly recommended!
