Friendship Hotel Hangzhou is a mixed bag. The view of West Lake from the higher floors is quite nice (although it can be very hazy or foggy). The location is excellent. The reception staff is professional and the larger rooms are very very good. But even though there is a room service menu in English, don't try calling the extension. You will get staff who become very confused (I don't believe they know any English), talk about the call to their colleagues very casually while ignoring the caller, following by an abrupt hangup without even a 'duibuqi'. I called the assistant manager to complain, who kindly sent a waiter to my room to take my order. But he was from the top-notch restaurant in the hotel, and I felt obligated order at price higher than I was comfortable with. Although I was quite taken aback, I would stay at this hotel again.

TCG is very good. I have no complaints, and will always use TCG to book hotels.

We have been very happy with your service. The rates you quoted were exactly those billed by the hotels. The staff at the hotels have been very helpful. The Hangzhou hotel staff in particular helped us to organize a visit to Romance of the Song Dynasty.

At Suzhou, the staff were also helpful when my camera was stolen in directing us to the police station, even though their English was not as accomplished as in Hangzhou.

I will visit your site as soon as I have better and cheaper Internet access to write some very positive comments.

We have been the only Westerners staying at these hotels during our time there. This was not a problem for the hotel who made us very welcome and supported us in exploring parts of China at our own pace.

I will certainly recommend your service to my friends when they visit China from Australia. It was very easy to organize.

I was thinking about writing as well, and was very happy to hear from TCG.

Our travel experience was splendid in China. My husband and I were very happy with Friendship Hotel Hangzhou. The hotel was very stylish and clean. The staff was very helpful. It had everything we wanted. Also, its location was great, close to the Westlake and to the shopping area. Friendship hotel also had the best breakfast buffet. I really enjoyed trying Chinese breakfast. It also had enough choices for those who are looking for western food.

I was also very happy with the services of TCG. Thank you for being so helpful and professional.

Hangzhou is a beautiful city. We also had a chance to travel to Shanghai and also to the Anhui province. It was our first time in China and we really liked it. In fact, we would go back again at the next opportunity.

We would like to highly recommend the Friendship Hotel Hangzhou. We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. It is easy to find and the transportation is very convenient. The lobby of the hotel is luxurious and the staff is kind and patient. The guestrooms are clean and comfortable, and the big windows inside the room provide excellent views both in daytime and at night. We would like to stay in the hotel next time and hope we can spend a long time at the joyful hotel.

I am very happy with your service. I have booked 3 different hotels through your end and although there were some minor problems, it was addressed promptly.

Friendship Hotel/Hangzhou -in 10 June. I believed it was renovated recently. My family, especially my son who is 12 years old likes it very much. Although we only stayed one night, he wished he could have stayed on longer, however, our schedule did not permit this.

Friendship hotel is close to the scenic spots and train station. Overall service is good and staff are friendly. Quite good restaurant choices as well.
