The hotel services and facilities are excellent. We even had the courteous services of the hotel's managing director, Mr Chen, during one of our night caps at the Atrium lobby. Thank you, Mr Chen, for your kind hospitality extended to me (room 2105) and my friends on the night of 3 Apr. We truly enjoyed our time at the hotel.

The booking services of TCG are excellent except that it takes too long (25 days after check-out) to refund our 1 room night deposit monies. I am sure TCG can improve on that to maybe 14 days or less.

No problem publishing my comments. It's my pleasure to let others know as well, of the excellent service and hospitality of Westlake Hillview Int'l Hotel. I will return to stay here whenever I'm in Hangzhou.

I have a very good experience dealing with your booking staff. The lady I spoke to was very polite, professional and efficient.

West lake is a beautiful hotel. Good price for a very good hotel service. The room I stayed in was clean and modern.

Unfortunately the experience at the West Lake Hillview International Hotel in Hangzhou was not as pleasant as I would have liked. About the only nice thing I have to say is the bed was comfortable.

Otherwise the room smelled like paint, the staff told me it was new, but I still had a slight headache from the fumes and they refused to change my room as they were booked. There was no milk for the coffee, I even asked and was told they were out. There was a snail on the fruit plate in my room.

The hotel was far from the lake, although they listed it as being on the lake, we had to take taxis to get to and from the lake. When checking out at noon, there was only two staff behind the front desk, one of which was new and didn't know how to use the credit card machine. The other experienced staff person was tending to a group of people just checking in. This left the other 7 or 8 people including myself who wanted to check out left to wait for about 20 minutes before someone who knew how to use a credit card machine came to the rescue. Over the course of the 24 hours I spent in the hotel, I didn't see a single employee smile; they all seemed to ignore the guests unless approached directly. Overall I would give this hotel a D, but they are new so they will hopefully get some more training and improve. Regardless I wouldn't stay there again.

Besides, we were informed by the hotel that the hotel is located near the Leifeng Tower, which is a part of the West Lake. But it will take about 20 minutes to walk to the lake area. Hope for your kind understanding.

Hello and thanks for the follow up.

I truly enjoyed my stay. The staff were very helpful.

The hotel is still quite new and I think it is still not running at best performance. I had a lot of difficulty with malfunctioning air conditioning when I checked in and nobody could fix the problem. I was upgraded to a better room the following day.

I like the hotel location. I would stay here again. My partner and I had a lovely, romantic time and the staff were very kind and helpful.

The service of your company was faultless and I would recommend you to other travellers.

I would also like to add, that the hotel DOES NOT have a Gym, even if they claim they have. Maybe it is under construction.

Room interior was nice with a good ...
Room interior was nice with a good price (700-800 RMB). The A/C was a bit too strong and surprisingly you have to wait a while to get hot water from the shower!

The hotel seems to be really new and maybe that is the reason service is partly amateurish. For example Business Center could not understand an international fax number, lobby bar does not serve red wine... The staff is friendly though.

Breakfast buffet is not great, especially from a westerners taste (I really dislike the Chinese breakfasts..).

The hotel is conveniently located in Hangzhou. It is an ideal place to spend the vacation owing to the superb surroundings and excellent scenery. There is only several minutes' walk to the famous West Lake. The hotel is well-appointed, including tennis courts, gym, massage and game rooms. In particular, there is SPA and outdoor swimming pool on top the mountain, rather fantastic.

Very nice hotel. It? newly opened, not all the buildings finished, so the price is very attractive now. Later it will be more expensive. Very quiet place, though not far from west lake and downtown. They can call a taxi for you any time, so location was not a problem. I will definitely recommend my friend to stay here.
