For the 3rd tme I am staying in this hotel. They have excellent room service and breakfast. Located in one of the best area. I can't think to stay in any hotel non other than Novotel. All the staff are very polite and ready to give best service.

We stayed at the Novotel for 6 ...
We stayed at the Novotel for 6 nights and we were extremely happy with the services/conveniences of the location. Enjoyed the room/cleanliness. One day we accidently pressed the button to not clean our room. My mistake as I did see the panel outside the room lit meaning no cleaning service. Saw a note when we got back that evening. Immediately called housekeeping to inquire. Error on our part however they were willing to come in to clean the room. Instead we requested clean towels only. Internet service is great in the lobby except a few times the settings were changed by other users. Buffet breakfeast is well worth the $3 US. A+++

Thank you for the chance to comment on the hotel and your service.

1. The hotel Novotel Xinqiao in Beijing was a very nice hotel and well located and their breakfast service is excellent. However, they have room for much improvement in service areas:

The shower was not working, I called and still nothing. The cleaning staff should have reported it as they could not use it to clean the shower. Then we met a bellman in the hall and asked him to tell the proper person to fix it and it was done.

Next the front desk service was very very poor. They were not responsive at all. For example: We had a phone call from your tour person. The phone message light was on but when we called they said no message. I then called the Asst Manager and he said I cannot help you and hang up. We were to meet a guide in the lobby, we told the desk that we were sitting in the lobby and when the guide came and asked for us were sitting right here, Well the guide came, asked for us and they said they did not know us. Then we and the guide sat for over one hour without making contact. I went back to the desk several times during the hour to ask if anyone asked about us and they said "No" (The guide called our room later).

Next I went to exchange some money one USA$5 bill was slightly worn and they would not take it. I went next door to the Bank of China and made money exchange there with no problem.

2. Your service: Your tour guide was the very best! Taxi from airport to hotel was excellent service.

Recommendation: Answer all email in 2-3 hours.

We hope that you use my comments as constructive and they help you are to better serve clients. Prior to retirement, I was a business consultant.

I have stayed at the Novotel Hotel ...
I have stayed at the Novotel Hotel twice in the last two years. Both times I was very satisfied with the service, room, restaurants and staff. I will be going back in March for another visit and I will be staying at this hotel again.

I have stayed at other hotels in Beijing but have to say that this one offers the most bang for the money.

The hotel service was good and did not have any issue. Everything was easy. One minor issue, even the nonsmoking room had little smoke smell. But it was only on the first day. Next day on, it was not a problem. Either I got used to the smell or the smell was cleared.

This hotel was excellent. Definate ...
This hotel was excellent. Definate value for money and I would stay here again. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the service great. I really enjoyed the food at the restaurants - the buffets were terrific! Excellent English used as well.

I've stayed in the Novotel Xinqiao ...
I've stayed in the Novotel Xinqiao twice but will not stay there again.
The hotel room was fine but all other aspects of the hotel seemed designed to annoy the guest -- in particular the unfriendly service from reception staff, cashiers and shop assistants. Our room had been pre-booked but when we arrived and requested a non-smoking room we were simply provided with lower grade room at the same price. The hotel breakfast in the Utopia restaurant was awful.

I was very satisfied with China Travel Guide Booking Centre - very impressive and efficient. I have used you before and will certainly use you again.

Regarding the Novotel Xinquiao, I am not so satisfied. I have stayed there before (in February of this year) and was not keen on going there again, but did so in the hope it had improved. My key complaint is that the Internet Service is terrible: it is simply the worst of any hotel I have stayed in in Beijing in the last 5 years. The system is complex; inefficient; very slow . . . in short, it is completely inadequate to business needs.

There are also some simple things in the Novotel which do not compare to other hotels. There seems to be no delivery of newspapers. Every hotel I stay in either delivers a complimentary newspaper to your room . . . or at least has newspapers in public areas and lounges for guests to read. The Novotel does not seem to do this. Considering also that a very high percentage of its guests are foreign, an English-language edition of China Daily would seem to be the most basic thing to offer its guests.
