Anyway but we had to pick it because it was the only place that accepted 18 yr olds to check-in. Point it I'm glad we ended up there. There were English speaking staff. Most of them are very very helpful. They are friendly. The room I admit is small but I honestly didn't find it a problem.
Toilet never flooded. THere were no windows, BUT you didn't need any cos always have aircon on and the room was beautiful.
It was very good value and the laundry service was excellent though not the cheapest, still very fair! The location is great, next to the bund.

The booking service is very good.i have used this sevice for the last 3 years and have had no problems. The Manhatten business hotel is nice close to the bund and Nanjing Road. Very nice employees and very clean room. The breakfast buffet was also good.

You are doing a great service. The first thing I do before I go to China is checking your site on the hotels, maps, and cities of China. I appreciate it.

The hotel is very clean and nice. The location is great. Staff was polite and they spoke English. Surroundings were ok. The only thing was that room was relatively small and no windows.

My booking through TCG booking Center was excellent.

First of all i would like to thank that TCG help me to book the Manhattan Bund Hotel in Shanghai. Thank you very much.

The Hotel is very unit and is located very good location at Shanghai, very near by the pearl Tower. Besides that the hotel is also very near the shopping complex and some famous restaurant. Insides the hotel, i feel very surprise because of the hotel decoration, when step in the hotel, i feel that i back to the year 1970year shanghai time. It was very nice decoration. But the room is a bit small. Staff services also good, just some of them dont know English.

For TCG services, very good. Thank you. 4 star for your services.

1. The moment we entered the hotel, we thought we were entering a temple. We were greeted by thick smoke and strong smell from incense burning. The room (without windows) we got made us feel claustrophobic but it didn't bother much as we weren't in the room most of the time. What really bothered us was the toilet ! The flush system didn't work and flooded the entire bathroom. It took the housekeeper almost 30 minutes to attend to it, using the traditional method WHICH didn't help. We ended up using the toilet at the lobby for nature calls and that wasn't very convenient.

The only convenience about this hotel is its location. Approximately 10 minutes walk to Nanjing Road & The Bund.

2. The experience we had through TCG Booking Center was excellent and we would strongly recommend your services to all travelers.

This hotel was really nice,the rooms were a bit narrowed but nonetheless, they were beautifully made and the surrounding was good too! Our time spent at this hotel was quite memorable and an experience that i would never forget!

Content: Tried to submit our comments on Bund Manhattan Hotel, Shanghai but it didn't work. Hence, trying it here.

Stayed a night on 15 Mar '08.

What we like:-
(1)Great location. Only 10mins walk to Nanjing road.
(2)Rate is within our budget.
(3)Neat, clean & tidy (deluxe) room.

What we dislike:-
(1)Too smoky at the lobby due to too much burning of incense.
(2)Toilet had poor flushing system. Had to use the toilet at the lobby, afraid it would flood the room!
(3)With no window and too many things cramped into a tiny room, it is NOT RECOMMENDED for claustrophobia
