My would said my recent staying experience at New Asia Hotel, Shanghai was very good. I was happy with the facilities there except that I was not able to have a good view from the hotel room as the window of my room was blocked by another building.

The hotel provides good continental breakfast at a very attractive price but my dinning experience in one of the evening wasn't very good, it could be due to under staff.

Overall, I have enjoyed very much during my stay there, I may chose this hotel if I visit Shanghai again.

About the TCG booking centre, I would say the staff are very efficient and they respond my email promptly.

I stayed at New Asia Hotel in ...

I stayed at New Asia Hotel in Shanghai for 2 days and they were the worst ever. I had some money stolen from my room while I was out shopping, I complained but nothing happened . Add to that the worst service I received over there from the hotel Staff. Not to talk about what so called "Massage Business" in the hotel; for people who visited China for the first time, sending girls one after another to my room for "sex" was really offending and made me feel really uncomfortable.

i saw this webpage and thought tat the hotel was good but after i stayed, i realise the staff were rude. i was cheated off my money by the front desk. the manager was not helpful n i tink they were in this together. disappointed with everything from service to room deco. i realise only this website have good comments. the rest are all bad!!! should have look at more websites before i decide next time!!

The Shanghai New Asia Hotel, was definitely not the Grand Hyatt Shanghai, but was definitely better than what our local tour guide had hinted at. The rooms were very large and comfortable. They were probably the largest rooms of the whole trip (our special room in Guilin notwithstanding.) The view was also pretty nice, as we were on a high floor and could see a healthy portion of the Shanghai skyline. In particular, our room had a fantastic view of one of the buildings which had a neon sign that displayed famous images including the Mono Lisa. Unfortunately, the Shanghai New Asia Hotel was not located along any particularly good shopping streets. When we did go exploring outside the hotel, it was a decently long walk to the nearest stores, all of which turned out to be big disappointments. I also had some other minor complaints, including the long hallway which creaked when you walked on it, and the very dimly lit bathroom which made showering a nearly-claustrophobic experience. But overall, while we did not stay at one of the famous Shanghai hotels, this was definitely a good substitute.

I am very satisfied with New Asia Hotel, Shanghai.I think you should offer this Hotel more frequently. I say that because when I asked you for a Hotel in Shanghai you did not offer the New Asia. Then a friend of mine in China suggested me to ask for the New Asia, and so I asked you for it.I hope to go to China again soon, and so I will contact you for accomodations.

The service of TCG was superb. Quick and personally written replies. Very efficient.

The hotel has very good location, easy access to the city. We were given our rooms almost immediately although we arrived very early in the morning.

Hopefully there will be a "next time" and we will certainly use your service again.

Your staff is very responsive. I'm please with their work.

The hotel is situated next to the main street, so it can be pretty noisy. Also, most of the shops surrounding the hotel are selling industrial parts. Not much shopping or restaurant to choose from.

We are truly happy with our stay at the New Asia Hotel in Shanghai and spent a very enjoyable week with the hotel as our very pleasant basis. Everything was perfect in the hotel: the double room that we booked was big and comfortable and the cleaning was also very good. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable.

We also liked that the hotel was within an easy walking distance both to the Bund and to the bustling Nanjing Road. When we return to Shanghai we will no doubt choose this hotel again as it is good value for money as well.
