Here are my comments:

I and my husband stayed in SAT Hotel Pudong Airport Branch 4 times. It's near the airport so it's very convenience for us to stay there and then transfer to other places in China. The facilities are new; the service of staff is good. Only thing that i don't like is the TV, it seems that every time an airplane pass, the TV program stopped for few seconds, Pudong airport is a crowded airport so it happened every 10 minutes!!! But it's not a big problem, I will book this hotel again when i come to Shanghai!!!

I satisfy with the service of TCG booking center and its staff, it is very easy, fast and good. I'm sure that i will use TCG services again when i travel to China in coming months.

Hi Lena,

First of all, thank you for following up with me on hotels I stayed and booked through TCG.
Here are my thoughts as following,

Shanghai Airlines Travel Hotel Pudong Airport Branch,
1) Facilities as not as good as I thought would be (over all 2/5 stars).
a. Room was small
b. Smell
c. Bathroom was small
d. Next time, I will try somewhere else unless I need to stay near the Pudong Airport.

2) Staff Service
a. Inter-net wasn't working first day I checked in and no one told me about it.
b. Found out next day that all 5th floor didn? have inter-net service for one day.

3) Location
a. Perfect for those who wants to stay near Pudong Airport (10 min) for a few days
b. I heard next near town is about 30 minutes away
c. It took me about 1hr to East Shanghai Train Station via taxi

4) Booking service through TCG
a. No problem at all

I think not only I have to tell you the reason, but also need to complain about this.

Yes, I booked a room for check-in on Feb 2. But as you should know and the hotel management also should know, the weather in Shanghai and cities around are terrible. Most of the flights were either delayed or cancelled. Fortunately, our flight was not cancelled, but delayed for 7 hours. Our flight was supposed to arrive in Shanghai at 19:00. But due to the 7 hours delay, we finally arrived Shanghai at 2:00am mid-night on Feb 3. We then take the shuttle bus to the Shanghai Airline Travel Hotel (PuDong Branch). But while we check-in, they said the room was only held until 23:00. After this booking time, the system will automatically cancel the booking and ended-up the result that we are "no-show".

Not only us, there are a couples of travellers also booked this hotel (in their ways), and none of them have rooms too. They said since the booking are cancelled, the rooms were sold to other customers and the hotel were fully occupied.

Imagine it was 2:00am in mid-night and it was snowing outside. We cannot move too far from the airport as we have to catch another flight at 9:00 in the morning. Without choice, we decided to stay at the lobby at the hotel. But we were forced to get out ... We then use the internet and search for hotels. We finally find one which is 30min away, but we have to. We have to pay extra transport fee (by taxi) to get the other hotel, and to afford a more expensive room for stay only 3hrs as we have to check-out at 6:00am to catch the 8:00 flight.
This is a really an unpleasant trip and I swear not to stay in this hotel anymore.

The hotel is very near by Pudong airport. And they provide the shuttle bus to pick-up and see-off guest at the airport. Overall, this is a nice hotel, very suitable for the over-staying passenger. Receptionists are very busy but efficient. It only wastes me about 5 mins to check in. When I reach there, i? too tried, so i? much appreciated with their efficiency. Also their room is very clean and spacious. I will stay here again if I need to take the flight departed from Pudong airport.
