The hotel location is excellent for sightseeing, the rooms are spacious and nicely renovated, and the breakfast is varied and tasty. My only complaint is with the noise coming from the street when trucks are being unloaded at 3 in the morning.

Booking is absolutely efficient. I got the confirmation quite on time. I would use this web service again.

The hotel is kinda fun though a bit noisy in the morning coz of the garden there. The good thing about this hotel is its oriental style architecture. My boyfriend like it quite a lot and enjoyed so much. Hotel is clean and stuff are very polite and nice. We would like to be back there again.

I really like so much the location, price and room conditions. But the food in breakfast it is so typical, I do not like and prefer international breakfast with bread and coffee. The staff is not prepared to receive tourists who speak only English.

Together with my daughter I visited Shanghai Classical Hotel last year. We have been satisfied with the booking service. When we came home we had a notice asking if we had been at the hotel, as our booking was not found.
The hotel is good situated and the surroundings very nice. Taxis easy to find.
The people in the Reception at the Hotel were all very nice and serviceminded. Unfortunately only a few spoke English so sometimes we could not make ourselves understood. But then we stopped by the Cafe and they helped us really well.

We were very plesaed with the service, staff and also the meals at the Shanghai Classical, however we were on the 4 th floor in Room 403 and each morning at exactly 6.30am we would hear a loud sound maybe fans? somewhere, it would continue until 6.360pm. The location is great , near the Yu yuan Garden and bazaar, the room very clean and spacious. A suggestion for breakfast may be to offer Chinese tea . Thank you for a great stay in Shanghai

the booking service did work very well!

The hotel was very good. the rooms are what you expect for the price payed. They were clean and the service at the reception as well as the concierge was very good and friendly. As a foreign tourist I would have appreciated more international TV-channels like BBC and CNN besides the english speaking Chinese channel. More variation for the breakfast would have been nice.I will definately use the booking service again.

1. Yes, I am quite satified with the Travel China Guide booking services. It is very fast and efficient, I recieved an email in a few hours once I send in my request and the instructions are easy to follow. I would definitely recommend the service other and use it again.

2. As for the services in Shanghai Classical Hotel, it was overall okay; not the best but not too bad. I like the location a lot though, it is close to most of the tourist area and living in the middle of the Yu Garden is great for a shopoholic like me. The rooms are quite spacious and clean, but the shower is my bathroom is kind of stuck. The breakfast is something this hotel REALLY needs to improve on, it is one of the worst hotel breakfast I ever seen. But overall, the service is okay and the price is good.
