Dali Asia Star Hotel，a resort and conference styled hotel built by Asia Star Company in Taiwan, is the pathfinder in terms of the genuine non-smoking floors and dedicated ladies rooms in China mainland. The hotel was backed by Cangshan Mountain in the west, facing Erhai Lake in the east, and Provincial Tourism Holiday Resort in the south. With Single Pagoda of Hongsheng Temple and Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple in the north, the hotel exactly catches the overall view of Sanyue Street. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to the world famous Dali Ancient Town, and about 30 minutes to drive to the airport. There is a lobby which can represent the most nationality characteristic in Yunnan, and there are 310 guest rooms allowing view of beautiful sceneries in Cangshan and Erhai. The rooms are well-appointed and uniquely furnished. Following Dali traditional decorating style, the spacious dining-room has the elegant ambience. The banquet hall could accommodate about 600 people for meal at the same time. Besides, the hotel is so well -equipped that it constantly provides the guests with professional all-in-one service.

This hotel was supposed to be a 5 star hotel but to us it was more average. We did not always have warm water, or enough water to take a shower. The staff was willing to help us but almost no-one spoke English so it was very difficult to ask them something.

A real Chinese hotel. With a friendly staff is anxious to make sense to you. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Old Town.

Dali Asia Star Hotel is a very good hotel. We were happy there and didn't have any problems neither with the staff nor with the room. Location and surroundings were great too. We also loved the shuttle service to the Old Town.

I had a good stay at the Dali Asia Star Hotel. The rooms were good , the staff was very helpfull , and the location was very good being very close to Old Dali. The only drawback to this hotel is its breakfast which was not very satisfactory.
