I was very disappointed that the hotel refused to accept my reservation even though I guaranteed payment with my Credit Card. Fortunately I was able to get a room because it was not the season. The room given me was all the way in the back in a corner with no view whatsoever. The room was clean and comfortable however the hotel did not believe in changing sheets daily nor did they believe in changing towels. When I requested towels they wanted to give me a towel from another guest.
I had a difficult time getting someone to understand my requests apparently the hotel does not cater to English speaking guests. There was one young lady at the front desk who spoke some English and she was very helpful when I needed help. On the Internet it stated that the restaurant served Chinese and Western food, but there was no Western food available.
All in all it was a very disappointing stay.

Regarding the TCG service, I found this to be quite easy and efficient to use. The website in general is well laid out and it is very easy to find cities, hotels, attractions and places of interest in order to plan our trip. The hotel booking voucher and directions are very useful inclusions in your service.
We also used the TCG to book airline travel and this is also very easy to use. We were able to find suitable flights that fitted in with our travel plans.
It was also extremely useful to obtain train travel information from the TCG site. Apart from the internal flights organised through TCG we travelled by train and using the information the Train search on the TCG site we got all the train information we needed so that once we got to China we were able to buy tickets at the stations for what we wanted. This avoided the problem of having to negotiate for the possible trains with station staff in Chinese - being able to indicate the train we wanted made it so much easier.
Finally, our contact Ms Caroline Zhao was very helpful in putting our requirements together, and we are very appreciative of the ease with which she made the process go smoothly for us.
