Dear Lena Qian Thank you for asking for my comments about our stay at the hotels we booked through your site. Dongdan Yindi Hotel, Beijing - This hotel was clean and handy to rail and shopping. However, we have concerns about the Business Centre in this hotel. It was through the Business Centre that we arranged for transport to Beijing International Airport Terminal 3. As there were 4 of us, we wanted to travel in the same vehicle, and the Business Centre arranged a van for us, for 220 RMB. When we got our luggage from the vehicle at Beijing Airport, the vehicle was boarded by Transport Police. The Police also interviewed us and videotaped us, and asked who had arranged the transport. I was able to show them the receipt provided by the hotel, which was also videotaped. The police informed us that this was a rogue driver, and that we had been grossly overcharged. They said the fare should have been no more than 70 RMB. It was a very traumatic end to our holiday. We had trusted the hotel and felt that they had let us down. There was no breakfast available at this hotel. We were directed to a diner across the street which we chose not to eat in, and went to KFC. As a result I cannot recommend this hotel. This hotel was in an excellent location - close to Dongsi metro stop and in amongst some shops. It was very easy to get ourselves to sights in BJ from this hotel. The only thing we took issue with was there was a kareoke bar in the hotel which kept us up a bit. I think that this was because our room was on the exterior and the sound bounced off the opposing building and into our room. I think that if we had an interior room this would not have been a problem. The hotel staff spoke enough English to get us along and were pleasant and very polite. I suppose that in the next two years new paintwork will be done aswell as new carpet ( the one in my room looked awfull). The staff was very helpfull also to other foreigners. I arrived at 8.30 AM, and they immidiatly summond roomservice staff to make up a room wher just another custumer had checked out. In Europe, one would have to wait untill noon or 2PM to get acces to the room. The facilities were good at the hotel. My brother used the internet there a lot but there is no restaurant. When we stayed there, they did a lot of renovation to the building so it was very noisy all the time. The location is good with easy bus routes and there are plenty of other places to eat outside the hotel. Although most of the staff could not speak English, they were very friendly and went to great efforts to help us and ensured that we enjoyed the stay. We went to Xi’an for a few days and decided to return to Dongdan Yindi Hotel because the staff were so helpful even though we had to put up with the noise. First, facility is good. When I reserved this hotel, I think the facility of this hotel is so so because this hotel fee is so cheap. But everything such as heating machine, water pot, shower machine and so on are really good. Second, staffs are very kind to me. But they can’t speak english even one word. So I had a some problem. But they gave many help to me and really kind. In addition to, sales manager of dongdan yindi hotel gave many helps. Because he can speak English, so I can ask some help to him.
