A DISAPPOINTING TREATMENT MELTED ON ME HERE IN THIS HOTEL "BEIJING EDEN HOTEL.

I must confess that the service in this afore mentioned Hotel is very terrible. The 2 girls who are in the Reception at 9.15pm are so rude, and disrespectful. It is one thing to be biased and racists and another to show it openly. I met them also the first night I lodged here. I arrived around past 11.pm (23.00hours beyond) I paid 1,200rmb to lodge here from Monday night till Friday with deposit as the actual amount is 952rmb.

We decided to stay a night more as our train ticket is 1pm tomorrow afternoon. I was surmoned downstairs to pay for one more day being Friday night/Saturday. However prior to this, I had planned to settle my balance with them later tonight or tomorrow morning during check-out time. The Receptionists are indeed saucy and rude. I do not know why they are so vindictive and mannerless.

I came downstairs and queued up to sort out my accounts with them. The Receptionist ignored me and was attending to other Local Guests who came 'after' me. I quickly reminded them I was busy and need to go upstairs to continue my packing before I was called downstairs to pay up for my extra one night.

The receptionist was rude and uttered rude and racial statements. I understand Chinese and I feel these people are not hospitable. They are very rude. I am a stranger and a Guest. Under no circumstance should a staff of hotel I lodged in should treat or address me as "Hei Ren" or "Fang Ren" "Lao Wai". Neither should they talk to me in a rude manner...no matter the situation, they should have approached me in a gentle and sincerely easy manner, but the situation is the opposite. This is terrible and disappointing. Nevertheless I still overpaid them which were taken as a deposit.

This Hotel is horribly terrible. Daily I find my room invaded whenever I am away, even when I leave the sign of "Do Not Disturb" hanging on my door handle. We are monitored and

Hotel facility was good. Generally clean and easy to come by. Staff was a mixed bag. Only two of the staff was helpful and friendly. However, the rest of the staff was not helpful at all. Asking them about how to get around in the city was a chore. Answers were always in the "I don't know..." and the "I'm not from Beijing..." varieties. They even got angry and annoyed when asked. The restaurant hotel was good, chefs there were great and service was good. Outside the hotel there are also some great restaurants (a Sichuan one right across the road is great).

Location was good. Not too far from Wangfujing and shops so good stuff on this aspect. Taxis are a chore here so doesn’t even try. Buses and subway are the way to go and are fairly easy to get around once you try it.

My husband and I were mostly pleased with our 7 night stay in this hotel. We stayed in a Standard Room.

Positives - Hotel staff was friendly and willing to help, but spoke very little English. Price was very reasonable. Location was great! Just a few minutes walk to the Dongsi subway station, a McDonald's, and a supermarket. Our room was clean. Massage services available in the basement of the hotel (great foot massages!).

Negatives - Although the room was clean, it was small and showing signs of wear. Bed was hard. Bathroom had a useless shower curtain, and most of the bathroom was wet after a shower. Hotel restaurant wasn't that great. Menu was partially in English, but didn't offer much detail on the dishes. And, there were no Western options. The hotel was difficult for taxis to find. We had the hotel name and address in Chinese, but we had to call the hotel nearly every time we took a taxi for directions.
