 Stayed in Dongfang Hotel during 2007 canton fair, the room price (over $ 400) was really high, but, worthy it.
The hotel was located very close to the Liuhua Complex, within walking distance and got a Metro station nearby. This made our business trip much easier. It had a courtyard with beautiful garden and an outdoor swimming pool. The view was beautiful, if next time I stay here just for touring; surely I will take some photos.
My room was on lower floor, seemed newly renovated and could match the 5 star standards. Room size was spacious, especially, big bathroom. Room was very clean and had everything needed. The shower was great, strong pressure shower, comfortable after a tired busy day in the Fair. A little defect was that the bed was firm, but we heard before that most hotels in China had firm beds.
Hotel service generally was good; staff were professional and efficient, spoke good English.
Overall, it was a good hotel.

I have found the service and efficiency at your hotel booking service to be
truly First Class I have confidence in recommending your services as you have
been helpful and responsive to my requests. I would be happy to be a referee
to your company using my experiences with you.
The Garden View Plaza is to me Underrated as this was my second visit (I was
remembered from my previous visit 10months ago). I was given a huge room and
would always choose to stay hear to relax before a busy exhibition in Shenzhen.
The hotel being so close to the Hi Tech and other Shenzhen Exhibition Centres
is perfect for these venues. and Dongfang Hotel, Guangzhou
This was my first visit to The Dongfang Hotel and I can declare myself well
satisfied with the Hotel. I was in Block 2 and my team two weeks later were
initially in block one. The re-building work was too intrusive in block one
and they were moved! When fully removed this hotel will be perfect if the
price remains competitive? Staff in both hotels: - cleaners; front of house;
all excellent so pleasant and polite. I wish I could look forward to the same
quality on my trips to Chicago and Denver this year. You will be my first contact
for my future needs.
