Below is my opinion on the hotel in Shanghai: Very good location, but the serivce is moderate, and the room amenities is simple. I only stay one night at East Asia hotel, no complain anyway. If you just want to find a cheap hotel, yes, you got it.

This hotel is nice and clean and you get what you pay for. I have stayed in this hotel in 2004 and 2007. Try and book in the NEW WING, NANJING ROAD side. Which is much better than old side.

my husbond and I have stayed at this hotel several times during the last 8 years, and we are satisfied with the room standard, you have to choose between different prices, do not choose the cheapest the hotel is situated right on nanjing dong lu, the main shopping streeet in shanghai. hanne lund
