General

The Emperor Hotel was set up in 1996 and redecorated in 2005. It is located near the turf of Happy Valley and has supremely excellent surroundings. There are 150 rooms in total, including single rooms, double rooms and VIP rooms. All rooms are well-designed and well-appointed with such facilities as the safe, coffee or tea sets, TV sets, international direct dialing services, hair driers and writing desks. Besides, the hotel has different kinds of regional cuisine restaurants, like Western restaurant, Chinese bar, cafe, etc. Moreover, guests are still able to enjoy many other considerate services such as tour, laundry, airport transfer, parking, Broadband Internet, international exchange, free shuttle, pantry, gym and so on.

Location is a little out of way, but not hard to find. We took the airport express to Hong Kong Central and then MTR to causeway Bay. Then we took a taxi directly to the hotel. Later we were informed that the hotel provide shuttle bus to the airport.
Around the hotel is the residence district, so it is very quiet at night. Nice lobby, decoration is a kind of European style. We love that.
Front desk were efficient and professional. We check-in quickly and got a nice room. Room size is not big, but has everything needed. It is clean and comfortable.
We would like to recommend this hotel for people looking for quiet, nice hotel, especially for watching the horse race (It is within walking distance to the Happy Valley Horse Race Track). But if you would like to stay in the busy city center, we suggest you choose another hotel.
