We enjoyed our stay at the Fairyland (Baida) Hotel. We booked three rooms. They are all spacious and clean. The receptionists are very friendly. There is no transportation service though and limited parking space. The location is very good. Surrounded by shopping centers and restaurants, both foreign and local cuisines available. A few interesting sightseeing points, too.
The TCG website was very helpful and informative when I was planning for our China trip. Thank you for your good service.

I would rate New Era Apartment, Kunming about the best value hotel-apartment I had experienced not only in China but all over the world. I travel frequently, widely and have been doing so for the past 30 years.
I fully support it's concept to offer it's guests all the basic comforts like huge clean room, safe-deposit box in room, excellent stuff services and city central location. Best of all of course is it's very competitve room rates. I would highly recommend visitors to lodge there as I doubt they can get better deals around Kunming..

The hotel has good location. There are restaurants, shopping areas nearby. The transportation is convenient. The guestroom is spacious and clean. Overall, the hotel is good. However, there are also some deficiencies.
1. There should be more elevators.
2. There is no bath cap or comb in the room.
3. We prefer a room with carpet. There is only floor board in this hotel.
4. The layout of the room is not very pleasant. We prefer to watch the TV while lying in bed instead of sitting on the sofa. You can see in the hotel pictures that the TV is just on the same side of the bed.
5. I really can't compliment on the breakfast.

Great hotel!! The hotel is conveniently located in the city center, and it has very easy access to the airport, Golden Horse and Green Peacock Square. There is also a very large shopping mall near to the hotel. the hotel room is very clean and with good view of the street. The hotel staffs are kind and courteous, most of them can speak decent English, which is very important for our communication, because I can not speak Chinese.
In all, I would like to recommend this hotel for all travelers.
