I believed it was renovated recently, My family, especially my son who is 12 years old likes it very much. Although we only stayed one night, he wished he could have stayed on longer, however, our schedule did not permit this. The website is nicely layout and easy to use. It offers a number of choices with competitive prices and many useful info. The responses were quick. The bookings were accurate. TCG is more than web-based services. The several times that I wanted or need to talk to a live person were assisted by courteous, patience and very helpful staffs. Friendship Hotel in Hangzhou is a good hotel. The location is excellent. The staff service is good overall. The room is tastefully decorated and clean. I will stay at this hotel again when I visit Hangzhou. Hangzhou Friendship Hotel's lobby was remodeling when I was there. The new wood grain/alligator skin check-in counter is less aesthetic appealing than the former granite top counter. The new (laminated?) counter with the yellow stain glass wall has an old, cheap and tacky appearance. I hope the hotel does not make the same mistake and re-model its rooms the same way. Recommend adding adult cereal (high fiber/bran) for the breakfast instead if all children oriented (sugar-based) cereal.
