Grand Regency Hotel Qingdao is the first five-star hotel in Qingdao opened in 1995 and redecorated in 2004. It features elegant design and impressive European-style architecture. The 23-storey hotel comprises 393 rooms and apartments in total, which are equipped with hair drier, electric kettle, mini fridge, safe, writing desk, steam/massage bathtub and other facilities. Grand Regency Hotel Qingdao, located in the downtown area as well as the commercial, financial, recreational and shopping center of eastern Qingdao, is the nearest five-star hotel to Qingdao Liuting International Airport. The hotel is also within walking distance of the beach, some superior shopping plazas such as Sunshine Department Store (Yangguang Baihuo), Beautiful Plaza (Qili Plaza), May Fourth Square, city hall and several hypermarkets such as JUSCO, Carrefour. The hotel also offers restaurant, conference hall, fitness center, squash court, billiard room, bowling alley, sauna, swimming pool and other facilities.

House keeping people can come in your room & may be they drink some alcohol or what not. I was terribly surprise to see things in my room as if some one had a drink. Also was stinking.

When talked with duty manager, he had all reasons to tell me that there was nothing in the room. At the most, he can do is change my room or upgrade but (thought he can see used glasses & empty / used ice box) there was nothing wrong in my room. When asked, if can meet manager, first I was been told he has left for the day ( 7.30 pm can be possible ) & when asked if can meet the next day morning, I was been told he had left the country & was out on some business trip.

terrible!!

P.S. - i didn’t take the upgraded room.

As far as the comfort of the room it was very good but the very good stopped there. The staff was not helpful at all and sometimes not very respectful.

Tried to get the door man to get me a taxi and he as much as told me that they don't do that---had to go out into the street and get my own.

Food was so so and they were always out of something. One morning asked for coffee at the restaurant--they were out asked for tea--didn't have any---asked for juice and they said they had juice, but 5 minutes later they returned and didn't have any. Had trouble getting a cup of hot water.
Was very unhappy left 2 days early---Don't stay here

Grand Regency Hotel Qingdao - Not good at all as the room air conditioning system was not operational and constantly blowing hot air. I had to leave the window open all night and that was not much of a help either. The hotel staff were not cooperating either. I will make sure not to stay at this hotel during my next trip to Qingdao!!

TCG booking service: EXCELLENT! The booking information both for the hotel and the flight were very clear and helpful with the staff being very responsive and prompt.
