Stayed 2 nights & very satisfied with this hotel. Room is modern, very clean and spacious (daily housekeeping). Breakfast was quite good with quite a lot of varieties (porridge, fried rice, fried noodles, Guilin noodles soup, mantou, etc.) Bed is harder than normal but good size & comfortable. I speak Mandarin so staff service is ok. There's a tour desk at hotel lobby & also another at the corner to the right of the hotel.
Location is very convenient in town centre, walking distance (10-15 mins) to Xicheng & ZhengYang pedestrian street. Banks, convenience stores, good restaurants, shopping areas nearby. Very near to Elephant trunk hill & twin pagodas areas. Stroll a little further & you'll reach the glass bridge.
Booking thru TCG was fast, simple, convenient and at discounted rate. Will recommend this hotel to friends & family.

I stayed in this hotel Feb. 2011. The rooms are clean reasonable size, cleaned everyday. I booked a river cruise through the hotel which worked out OK. The breakfast is very oily, oily rice, oily cabbage, oily everything except the boiled eggs. Hotel is in a good location. Booking through TCG web site seems to provide a discount on normal hotel price.

The hotel itself is nothing special, just a business hotel (like jinjiang inn), but a very good deal concerning the location: nice restaurants around, a lianhua supermarket open till 10:30 pm, the Li River just 2 minutes away, the park with lake and the twin pagoda very close, maybe 5 min.
Besides, the hotel room and bathroom were very clean and modern, no shabby carpet, typically Chinese quite hard bed, but very comfortable. The worst thing was probably the breakfast, not even instant coffee, just tea, some fruit juice drink, rice soup, pickles, boiled egg, some vegetables and mantou, but also - and best: fried noodles and water melon. I think, that's a little less in Chinese breakfast than you could hope for. Can't say much about English service, because I speak Chinese, but their efforts in English were ok. I think it would have worked easily without speaking Chinese.
