This is a pleasant hotel well situated in town. It doesn? have the flair or quality of service as the Holiday inn, but is a slightly cheaper, good alternative for the business traveler. The room I had was clean and reasonably well furnished with a typical hard bed, a shower stall bath, an in-room safe, TV with CNN, BBC and HBO, and free unlimited internet access. However, few of the staff speaks English (except reception) and the food is so-so. Don't expect western food in portions you are accustomed to back home. The Steaks resemble shoe soles, get a taxi to the Holiday Inn instead. Chinese food on the other hand is very good. Overall, it's probably the best hotel in Qinhuangdao, but if you're looking for tourist sites, I'd probably try Shanhaiguan, as it's closer. Guest Name : Joan Moes Updated : 2008-1-22 i stay in great wall hotel for a week my husband was working in alcoa,bohai. i enjoyed my stay at the hotel they got warm welcome to us and the staff are very friendly. my huband had stayed for three months in great wall hotel they got great facilities, very clean bathrooms. i would recomend this to my friends and ilove to stay there again. thanks for the the excellent service.
