Hi, the building material wholesales in Guangzhou are mostly located on Nanan Road, Taikang Road and Baogang Avenue in Haizhu district. And you can choose one hotel around Beijing Road Shopping Center; Haizhu Square area, such as Bailing Hotel, Guangzhou, Lido Hotel, Guangzhou, Grand Continental Service Apartment, Guangzhou and so on. Besides, a nice India restaurant named Indian Chef is nearby. And you can ask the hotel staff for help if you can not find it.

1). Will the markets on Nanan Road and Baogang Avenue be better for Building materials and furnishings be better or should a visit to Shunde and Foshan be a better bet?
I have visited Shunde and Foshan only once on my first visit to China
2) Also I had stayed at Asia International Hotel on my first visit. Will that or Hotel Holiday Inn be close to the Haizu Distt as well?

According to what I learned on the web, it seems that Building materials in Foshan and Shunde are more preferential than that in Guangzhou. Besides, it is about 4km from Asia International Hotel, Guangzhou to Haizhu Square. And Holiday Inn City Centre, Guangzhou is around 5.5 km away from city center. So, Asia International Hotel, Guangzhou is closer to Haizhu Square compared with Holiday Inn City Centre, Guangzhou.
