It is an elderly hotel with good facilities, placed in the city with lots of shopping and walking possibilities in the neighborhood. If you only go to Sanya for beach life, take a hotel nearer to the beach. A taxi to the beach will cost you USD6.
The staff is very friendly, but cannot speak English. It is very difficult to communicate, even with the reception = many misunderstandings. The hotel promises to much, fix the staff in the bar evenings, cannot make even simple drinks. They are not skilled and not used to give the service tourists need. Sanya in general is still not ready for a tourist boom; even they build many new hotels. They need to dig up new tourist attractions, learn more languages and give better service.
When all this is said, we enjoyed the stay; even it in many ways was very different from our expectations. We also have to learn and adapt their culture and habits, which we have :)

This is the first time for me to visit Sanya. I was so attracted by the beautiful sea, blue sky, soft sand and friendly people. From I arrived at the airport, everything makes me joyful. Firstly, an friendly driver of Guixi hotel picked up me. He helped me take my luggage to the car with warm smile. Then, hotel reception arranged one room for me efficiently. The room was spacious and clean, though the furniture was a little bit old. Breakfast was ok, although the variety of food is not very plentiful, it was good quality. In all, this trip left me very deep and memorable impression. I love sanya city, and definitely would come back to sanya again.
