Once again I found your service to book flights and a hotel very helpful. This is the second time this year members of my family have made the trip from Shanghai to Beijing and all went just according to plan. With email and 24 hour telephone access, arrangements are easily made. Your responses are always prompt. The Hao Yuan Courtyard Hotel is a very affordable place to stay in a great central location, offering a glimpse of history as well. The staff there were, again, very helpful in arranging a private driver to the Ming Tombs and the lesser known section of the Great Wall at Mutianyu. I'm sure I will rely on you in the future to assist us with other travel arrangements in China.
Sincerely,
Mary Jo Norris

Dear TravelChinaGuide Personnel:
I want to thank you for all your assistance in making our recent travel arrangements. We were very pressed for time to acquire accommodations and flight reservations, but you were able to get every thing taken care in just a couple days. Our domestic flight reservations from Shanghai to Beijing went off without a hitch. The hotel reservation at Hao Yuan Courtyard in Beijing worked out very well also. The staff was very accommodating to assist us in making reservations and transportation for various outings. Even when snow threatened to cancel our trip to the wall at Mutianyu they were able to find a driver to take us to the Wall at Badaling instead. Our driver who returned us to the airport drove through unplowed streets of snow and still got us there safely and on time. As for the hotel itself, it was interesting to stay in a traditional Chinese hutong rather than a modern high rise hotel. The beds were comfortable and the private baths modern. We stayed in a standard room which had twin beds. It was small but adequate. If I were to return I would like to try one of the other rooms with a big bed as shown on the website. Breakfast was a nice bonus with a selection of western and Chinese food. The locations was very good--close to a subway stop and about a fifteen minute walk to the Wangfujing shopping street, about 30 minutes walk to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. I would definitely recommend the hotel to those who like bed and breakfast style accommodations.
Sincerely,
Mary Jo Norris

In answer to your questions we are very pleased to advise that we were extremely satisfied in both areas. There were no problems in using your booking service although in the case of the HaoYuan Hotel it was a little more fiddly than dealing with hotels which charged directly via credit cards over the internet. The hotel address in "Chinese" which you provided was much used and appreciated.
Our transfer and four night stay at the above mentioned hotel was without incident and we have nothing but positive comments to offer. Staff members were friendly, polite and helpful even if English was obviously more difficult for some than others, making communication a little more challenging. The ladies in the homely restaurant/dining room in particular were very charming and welcoming as were the younger staff manning reception, who didn't mind having a chat with the tourists from "down under". Location of the hotel was excellent for us as we enjoy exploring on foot and it is just a short walk to the centre of activity with bright lights, serious shopping, and fine dining. However, once you turn into the lane where the hotel is situated, there is a distinct feeling of being in a very different, old time Beijing. The hotel building in itself is an experience to be treasured - a miniature history lesson. From the quiet, pretty courtyard, to the spacious and inviting rooms which echo a traditional lifestyle and decor - we fell in love with it all and did not have to compromise on comfort or service for the privilege. We would heartily recommend this establishment to anyone who likes the idea of staying in a culturally authentic (or as near as possible) environment when visiting Beijing-so much more fun than the more usual high rise western style accommodation on offer.
Incidentally our entire trip (14 days) in China was amazing.

We arrived home from China almost 2 weeks ago after a wonderful experience in China. We traveled independently ( not part of a group ) & I'm sure this helped us to meet many many friendly & warm people in a very interesting country. We prefer to travel this way & being able to make reservations in hotels with TCG helped to make this possible.
The hotels that we booked through TCG were exactly as we expected & they all provided wonderful service. Your web site provides good information about the hotels so that the customer can make informed choices. We found the prices to be reasonable & your booking service very efficient - all the hotels were expecting us when we arrived.
This was a fantastic "guesthouse" in a quiet hutong & gave us the experience of staying in a traditional "courtyard" that we were looking for. Very professionaly run with great service & very competent & helpful staff. We were able to check in early after our overnight train from Shanghai. Breakfasts were adequate & in keeping with what you would expect from a 3 star facility with just 19 rooms. Beds were the most comfortable we had in China! The location was not as convenient ( a long walk from the metro ) as the Bamboo Gardens that we originaly asked for but we are pleased the Bamboo Gardens were fully booked as during our long walks we found man interesting things - especially the restaurants in the area - we found some fabulous small but busy eating places.
Our expectations are to always eat a good breakfast in the hotel, snack during the day & then eat out for dinner - we were able to do this always. This hotel was good value for money & is probably under-rated!!!!

I am satisfied with your service.
When I called to confirm my reservation on Sunday evening, you accepted my request. I am business woman, so I have little time to prepare my private trip every time. Thank you!!
It was fabulous hotel!!
All facilities are Chinese style, so cute!! I want to stay this hotel next time. Location is suitable for sight seeing, it is quiet. But it was not convenience for night life. I went out the night club located in Sanri-ton area on Saturday night. It took about 30minutes by taxi from this hotel.
Thank you
Best regards
Renee Arima
