Location: The reason for me to choose HengSheng Peninsula International Hotel, Shanghai is because of its location, it takes around 10 minute walk to the Bund, and 15 minutes to the bustling Nanjing pedestrian Road. I can see the Oriental Pearl TV Tower through my window. What a surprise! Receptionist: The receptionist spoke very limit English, sometimes, I had no idea what they were talking about. Breakfast: Very simple food with low quality. Poor! Facilities: The hotel is old, and the furniture in the room is off-color. To be frank, it doesn?? value the money. I won?? book this hotel again if I come back to Shanghai. As well, I will not recommend it to any of my friends or the other travelers. Upon arrival I met a very helpfull receptionist even though she, as others have commented, didnt deliver the service one might expect from a hotell in this class. However the rooms were spotless, the overall service was more than acceptable for the price and the standard more than satisfactory. I will have no worries returning here on my next visit. It was fine. Referring to the hotel i selected, the room that I asked was the cheapest one & it was fine because I finally have to sleep only. But hotel services are not good enough comparing to same category ones i experienced in china. Basically some of the personnel is not prepared & not customer oriented in hotel bar no room charge, just cash.
