Being located in the southwest of Suzhou old city, near to Panmen Scenery Area, the only well preserved water-and-land city gate in the world now, surrounded by other scenic spots such as Garden of the Master of the Nets and Canglang Pavilion (Blue Wave Pavilion), Holiday Inn Youlian, Suzhou is a good choice to explore Suzhou’s history and natural landscape. With pleasant and quiet ambience, there are 13 floors all together with well equipped rooms and suites in elegant style. On the 4th floor, there are Executive Rooms and lounges. In addition, all the rooms have satellite TVs, high speed wireless Internet access and DDD and IDD phones. Cafe of the hotel offers buffets of multinational flavor. We were surprised about the 15% service charge added to all food and beverage. Also 69RMB for 2 cups of coffee in the lounge is way too expensive. Very skimpy on the alcohol drinks. The hotel is not within walking distance to tourist attractions. Got a taxi from hotel thanks to hotel service.
