My wife and I found the Howard Johnson hotel to be a really great hotel, its location and accommodation standard were ideal.

I can thank TCG for their hotel reviews sections which I read to select the Howard Johnson, it had the comments about comfortable beds (in China the beds are much too hard) and the location in relation to the city center.

We really enjoyed the spacious comfortable room and the magnificant view of the ancient city wall of Xian.The location was ideal. However we felt that the reception staff could have had better English skills and better manners at times.Otherwise the room was clean and beautifully decorated and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast menu and efficient staff there.The piano was awesome, we thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful live music in the23 evening.
