Dear TCG,
Firstly, I would really like to thank you for all the hotel bookings and flight bookings you have made for us. Taking into account the short notice everything was done, I would rate your services as 9/10. Since the flight payment was a little hectic but only because it was on the weekend, but in my opinion credit card payment is more convenient.
Secondly, thank you so much for keeping us rooms for the late check-in. Also, we had to change our flight dates, which TCG helped us and suggested we change the flight details at the airport which was more convenient for us.
All in all, we were very pleased with your services. All the best of luck in your work.
Looking forward to use your services again.
With best regards,
Angela and Gulnara from Kazakhstan
The review for Huaxia hotel in Xiamen
All in all the stay at the hotel was very pleasant. Our room was very spacious and clean. Though staff don't speak English much, they are very friendly and try to assist you as much as they can, and they feel very badly if they cannot help you or understand you. The hotel is located very close to many shopping malls including the world trade centre with wal mart, and 40 minutes walk from Dongzhang road. I would definitely recommend the hotel.
Thank you
Best regards,
Angela

The environment where HuaXia Hotel, Xiamen is located is convenient and easily accessible. With regards to the facilities of HuaXia Hotel, I find that many time, they seem to be having problem with their amenities such as towels, cups, teaspoons, blankets and etc.
When I asked for extra blankets for my mum, they wanted to charge me RMB 150. It was only when i called the duty manager and argue with them, they then accede to my request. During our buffet breakfast, they are always running out of coffee spoon, cups.
The booking center is alright to me. Thank you for all the arrangement.

First, let me thank you for your admirable service regarding my bookings.
Our trip was quite satisfying if not for the limited days, so, next time we should stay longer. Now, for your queries.
1. Our stay in Hua Xia Hotel was really great. Although I believe the Hotel needs some refurbishments, it is good enough for those who are really in a tight budget. Its location is perfect coz it is almost in the middle of Xiamen and the 30 RMB taxi fare to and fro the airport is the max that you will spend for each ride. Going by bus is lot cheaper. A days ticket is also available at the train station and it is all you will need to go around Xiamen. The hotel is a stone throw away from Wal-Mart where you can do your groceries. Though, I would not suggest buying from the department store located there coz of other bargain stores you could choose from. There's also MC Donald and KFC for the less adventurous tourists.
On our arrival, we had a hard time communicating with the assigned staff because we were using sign language. I had to use my whole body and my acting talents to get my message across. We had a good time conversing this way. The staff were really trying their best to understand us and everybody were doing all sorts of motions. Just imagine the hilarity going on if you were there watching us. The next day was different. Thanks to Sabrina. I believe she is the only staff who can communicate in English. Therefore, Hua Xia should have a staff on each shift that knows how to speak English. The breakfast buffet is less commendable. It will not appeal to Westerners and Europeans. I had to guess what were the foods on the trays.
Overall, it is only the language barrier that gave us a tremendous workout. The hotel could also prepare a list of the daily schedule of buses and trains in English to help their guests get around the Xiamen. I have only appreciation for their kind, courteous, helpful hotel staffs and I would definitely consider ret

I enjoyed my stay in Xiamen - thanks in part to your service.
Here are two reviews, one for the Hua Xia hotel and one for TCG.
I have been visiting China since 1988, usually to work at a university or as part of a company. However, I plan to do more leisure traveling in China in the future. I will come back to you in the future!
Thanks,

Hua Xia is an excellent choice. The Manager is Vice President of the Xiamen Hotel Association and so, as you can imagine, it is a well-run hotel. The staff is very courteous, helpful and efficient. The breakfast buffet is tasteful and nutritious. The location is good, across the street from the train station and main bus depot. Taxis are plentiful and one of Xiamen's major shopping streets is nearby. The new rapid transit system has a stop within half a block. I will always remember the Hua Xia as that is where I saw the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics - on the TV in my room. I look forward to staying at the Hua Xia again in the future.

Although I have been visiting China for many years, this was my first time using TravelChinaGuide. The selection of hotels on their website is better than some other sites I visited. The prices are low and the booking process is easy-to-use. After making my booking, when I had to change dates, they made my changes quickly and efficiently. When I arrived at the hotel, the details of my stay were in the computer and both check-in and check-out were smooth. I recommend TravelChinaGuide without hesitation.
