ConradGo Top

As the most global contemporary luxury brand of the Hilton Family, Conrad Hotels & Resorts purchased her first business in Cisco, Texas back in 1919, combining a proud and prestigious heritage with a very contemporary attitude.

At its heart, Conrad is all about offering unique experiences for discerning travelers. Individuality is what sets Conrad apart from its competitors. From guests to team members to the resorts, Conrad is all about providing places where people can truly be themselves. After all, that' the real luxury today.

Conrad was founded in 1982, with the goal of operating a network of luxury accommodation in the world's major business and tourism capitals and top resort destinations.

Conrad was not the first international expansion project for Hilton. In 1949, Hilton, through its Hilton International arm launched and began operations with the opening of the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico, followed by additional openings in Madrid and Istanbul.

Fifteen years later, Hilton created Hilton International as a completely separate, publicly owned corporation, with the agreement that Hilton would have the exclusive use of the Hilton name and trademarks in the U.S. and Hilton International would have the exclusive use of these outside the U.S.

In January 1997, Hilton International (now the hotel division of Hilton Group plc) and Hilton Hotels Corporation dedicated themselves to the joint promotion of the Hilton brand worldwide, through several brand and marketing alliances.

In November 2000, Hilton Group plc and Hilton Hotels Corporation formed a joint venture company to expand the Conrad brand of luxury accommodation on a worldwide basis. With the acquisition of Hilton International by Hilton Hotels Corporation in March 2006, the Conrad brand is now the most global luxury brand within the Hilton Family. The brand is headquartered in Hilton International's corporate offices in the UK.

Where the World Gathers

Hilton remains synonymous with hotel because of its innovative approach to products, amenities and service. Whether becoming the first hotel to install televisions in guest rooms or the first hotel in the world to earn both LEED and Green Seal environmental certifications, individual Hilton hotels always lead the way. Among its industry firsts, Hilton developed the concept of franchising hotels, launched the first airport hotel, introduced the first multi-hotel reservation system and became the first U.S. coast-to-coast hotel chain. After more than 90 years, Hilton’s expertise and insight of global travel remains unmatched.
