General
Jinjiang Inn (Jin Xian Qiao Road), Chengdu lies on No.5 Jinqiao Road and is close to many famous attractions such as Yong Mausoleum (Yong Ling), Wenshu Monastery and Happy Valley. It has quite convenient transportation, which only takes 5 minutes from the hotel to Shawan international exhibition center by car, 10 minutes to railway station and 45 minutes to Shuangliu international airport. The hotel went into operation in August, 2006, owning 171 rooms equipped with four-star or above bedding and comfortable bathroom. It also has one tea house which can hold 80 people and offering both Chinese and western breakfast as well as two meeting rooms.

It was a disappointment! After reading the previous posts I was sure this hotel accepts foreigners (not all Chinese hotels do) and booked a room with them. First they said it was OK and my room was waiting for me. I specially inquired if they are allowed to accept foreigners and they said no problem. And then right before my flight they gave me a telephone call and said very sorry they DO NOT accept non-Chinese citizens! They really let me down, made me hurriedly look for a new hotel to book in the middle of the night. I am very angry.

1. I am overall satisfied by the staying at this hotel. The facilities were ok, the room was well cleaned. The hotel is located in a very pleasant neighborhood, not too far from the city center. The only thing didn't appreciate too much is that the staff cannot speak English at all. I can speak Chinese so I didn't have so many problems, but as a foreigner I can understand the difficulties some other foreign visitors can meet while staying at Jinjiang Inn. A part from this, the staff was very kind and helpful and I would recommend this hotel.
2. for what the booking service through TravelChinaGuide is concerned, I think it is very efficient and comfortable. I think I will use it again in the future.

My stay in Jin Jiang Inn, Chengdu was overall satisfying. I have no complaint on the room, the service and the breakfast. They are all acceptable.
There are only 2 drawbacks in my opinion:
1) the staff do not speak English, which makes it quite difficult to communicate. Fortunately, I had a local friend who helped me out with the communication problem. From the hotel side, the only one who could speak very little English was the security guard!
2) there should be more information on the location of this hotel on the booking confirmation sheet. I relied on the Chinese-written address that you provided me and showed this address on the booking confirmation sheet to my local friend. My local friend had difficulty identifying the address location at first, even with asking many people around. Chengdu is a large city. Fortunately, there was the hotel phone number, so we could call the hotel to find out more about their whereabouts. What happen if I had taken a public taxi and the taxi driver could not relate to the address provided? Besides the street address, the hotel should also tell in which part of the city the address is, or near what landmark building nearby.
I believe I have a good experience booking a hotel through Travel China Guide booking centre.

We stayed in Jin Jiang Inn - Jin Xian Qiao Road, Chengdu, and it is was very nice to stay there. The staff and personal are very kindly and very efficient.
After Chengdu, we were in Xi'An and Beijing in the same chains of hotels and in all this places we had the same good service. In future we will make the same choice.
