General

Jin Ya Hotel, Beijing is actually a four-square residential courtyard, a traditional architectural form specially extant in Beijing-which was originally built early in Qin dynasty. It is located in No. 71 DongSi LiuTiao HuTong, Dongcheng District, the centre of Beijing City. Transportation is very convenient and you can easily arrive at the Forbidden City, Wangfujing Avenue, Poly Showplace and other business mansions from the hotel. It was formerly the mansion of an imperial official over 150 years ago and now becomes an ancient & simple but high-class and elegant hotel. The hotel has two Chinese style courtyards with an area of about 2,500 square meters. It offers western style guestrooms, restaurants and a conference room which can hold 50 persons.

Hi,

1. The Jinya Courtyard Hotel was well located and the standard of the accommodation was excellent. The staff we're very helpful although there was very little English spoken.

2. The booking service was trouble free, although I found it odd that I was required to pay in full both to the booking company and then again to the hotel. This double payment is not something I have come across before.

Regards,

Adam

We arrived late to Beijing and when we arrived to Jinya Courtyard Hotel we were so pleased. It was unique and worth the complete experience. The establishment is set up unsing the old courtyard style living quarters and adapting them to make a hotel. Sit down toilets were avaliable, the showers were different for us but worked great. Beds were hard but that is how it is in all hotels in China. The staff did not know much English, but we managed. This hotel is in the old hutong (Old Peking)area. Price good too.
