This was my third stay in the past year . Standards have slipped a little . Mini bar was empty in both rooms I used . When I arrived late at night tired and thirsty , I was directed to the convenience store in the street for something to drink . My usual room was 'broken' so the girl gave me a totally different room overlooking the car park . But it must be said that the next morning the day staff were great about changing my room to a better one , next to my usual one . But the star of this hhotel is it's location . In a Hutong area , very close to great parks and everyday Chinese life . Buffet breakfast on 5th floor is pretty good with good bacon or sausage , fried eggs , salad items and fruit . Also a selection of Chinese items . Taxi drivers ALWAYS have trouble finding it's tucked away location though , have written Chinese directions ready to give the driver . I would still stay here whenever in Beijing .

My family & I had a pleasant experience of staying at King Parkview Hotel. The facilities are good, service is fine, the staff are helpful although I had difficulty understanding their English. I booked two rooms for our family of five. I appreciated that they allowed my request for my son to share room with my two daughters and that they didn't charge me extra! Thank you. The hotel is well-situated and very accessible. I enjoyed the surroundings...there's a bank, an ATM, stores selling different wares from dry goods to vegetables, meat & fruits, restaurants offering varied specialties. I felt at home haggling with the vendors on both sides of the road leading to the hotel. What more could I look for? a flea market so close to my hotel! Love it really! My only suggestion is for the hotel restaurant to improve on their breakfast. Good thing there was a convenience store nearby where we had coffee, chips & some food-to-go. Over all, I must say every yuan I spent for our stay in this hotel was worth it and I won't have second thoughts of returning to this hotel should we have another chance of coming back to Beijing!

Booked 2 rooms through TCG and stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in May 2012. We have no complaints on its average services and facilities provided, given its superb proximity to many historic sites. One of the rooms given to us is small, without a wardrobe and safe. One should be able to get a better accommodation nearby at that rate.

It is quite difficult to get a cab outside the hotel area, except to take a short walk to the main road to hail one. We had encountered cab drivers wanting to drop you off at the main road, instead of the hotel. I interpreted for a Russian couple during check-in as the staff had difficulty communicating in English.

Hotel has a good location and was good value for money. The room was fine and the management made sure that a cot we requested was already in the room when we arrived. We found it difficult to get a taxi (which was a bit of a worry when we checked out and needed to get to the station), and we found ourselves getting small electric shocks every time we used the lift or touched the door handle of our room. Apart from that our stay was an enjoyable one.
