Yes, we checked out several days early. While we were there, it snowed and was very cold. Even with the room heater, it was very cold. We did try to take some tours, but the snow limited the ability to move about in the mountains. None of the restaurants in the old town had heat and it was very uncomfortable to stay in Lijiang any longer. Please know that we did pay cash when we left as the hotel requested. They did not indicate that there was any problem with our leaving earlier than planned. We have the receipt from the hotel. I must say that the hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant to work with.
