Mr. Wilson Suwanto(Indonesia) said:

Dear TCG, Thank you for the booking service and for asking my opinion of the hotels.

Sanhe Hotel Lijiang: Building is very nice, clean. Staff is very good and they wear traditional Naxi cloth. I like that. The location is extremely convenient, next door to restaurants, shops, mini-markets, and 1 minute walk to ATM/Banks.

One thing you should note in your description of the hotel is that it does NOT have elevators. I travel with 2 kids (5 and 1 year old), and carrying the strollers up and down the stairs can be very inconvenient. I also feel sorry for the hotel guys who carry my 5 luggages up to our room. But they are so nice and available.

One complaint is about the heater. It shuts down often as soon as it reaches certain temperatures. The problem is the room is not warm yet. So we have to resort to the electric blanket provided by the hotel. It can be inconvenient for the kids that they have to wear think clothes when they are playing inside the room. Everything else is nice.

Overall, we are pretty satisfied with the hotels although some improvements are needed. And we hope that more information about the hotel (such as elevator, etc) can be posted on TCG page about the hotel

Thank you
Wilson Suwanto

Lijiang Sanhe Courtyard Hotel is very charming place. Convenient since it is in the midst of the Old Village. I, too, was there when it was getting cold but my bed had a heated mattress pad & it did the trick. Was pleasantly surprised that my room rate included a western breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Lijiang Sanhe Hotel: Also excellently located in the old town. A converted traditional Chinese courtyard style house. Rooms were small and cozy with a thoroughly modern bathroom. Very helpful staff with loads of info about booking tours, etc. English spoken here.

All bookings and agreed upon prices went without a single problem. TCG Booking gets the highest points for a job extremely well done. My suggestion is to keep doing what you are doing exactly the way you are doing it now.

It will be my please and you can be sure that I will use your service in the future and recommend you in the meantime.

Hello,
Question 1 - Yes, the hotel is good and the service is excellent. The hotel occupies a significant location and you can walk to the ancient city within 5 minutes. Rather convenient! The magnificent buildings of the hotel are of Chinese traditional style. However, the bed is a little hard and I prefer a softer one. The room is not insulated against noise and we can hear the sound of someone coming upstairs and downstairs. In a word, the hotel is good and should be recommended to anyone.

Question 2 - Yes, your booking center is efficient in providing an excellent service. Thank you for the help you have offered.

Best regards,
Christine Cook

Yes, we checked out several days early. While we were there, it snowed and was very cold. Even with the room heater, it was very cold. We did try to take some tours, but the snow limited the ability to move about in the mountains. None of the restaurants in the old town had heat and it was very uncomfortable to stay in Lijiang any longer.

Please know that we did pay cash when we left as the hotel requested. They did not indicate that there was any problem with our leaving earlier than planned. We have the receipt from the hotel. I must say that the hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant to work with.

I hope that this answers your question. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Respectfully,

Chip Gardes
