Meihua-Golden Tang International Hotel, a newly completed hotel in Xi'an, is located in Bell and Drum Tower commercial circle of the West Avenue. It is only two minutes' walk to the Bell Tower. The beautiful scenery of the towers and musical fountain can be seen from the hotel. Opened in 2007, it has all kinds of rooms, including standard rooms, deluxe rooms, deluxe view rooms, business suites, king suites. Rooms are equipped with mattresses imported from Germany, far-infrared temperature sensing systems and other electronic facilities. Meihua-Golden Tang International Hotel, Xi'an also has facilities like restaurant, cafeteria, tea house, chess& card room, etc for customers' convenience.

It is a really nice hotel with convenient location. The hotel is just aside the Drum tower and 5-min walking distance to the Bell Tower. The hotel restaurant might be very famous, because I saw many Chinese people there every day. The famous Hui Ethnic Food Street is just behind the hotel. But we had our lunch in KFC nearby.

The hotel staff was well dressed and trained. They always have lovely smile on face when greeting guests. Well location, and good service. I will choose this hotel again if I have chance to visit Xian.

An OK hotel. However there was a strange smell on the whole floor and especially in our room, not so nice. And the pillows were very hard.....

I've been to Xian in March this year, and I think the location is not as good as the Bell Tower, but the facilities are not too bad at all, I've visit the Sofitel, Grand Mecure and the Mecure hotel on the Renmin Square as well, in my opinion, the Meihua Golden Tang hotel is good value for money. The environment of Sofitel is very romantic and deluxe, but it's a little bit expensive. So I recommend Meihua Hotel if you wanna a 4 star hotel.

This is a 5 star newly opened hotel at a low 4 star price. I stayed there for 2 days and really liked the location and the luxurious king bed room. It is surrounded by attractions, stores and restaurants within walking distance, even a Starbuck. Service was not up to standard and not consistent. They do not have non-smoking floor or non- smoking rooms. Breakfast was poor, little western selections and whatever there were mostly overcooked. However, it was great price/value, a must stay if you visit Xian.
