I have stayed at the Minland Hotel a number of times over the last 3 years and have found it to be very adequate and the staff has been abnormally nice and cordial. They remember me each time and in particular Mr. Toby Tang who speaks excellent English and is always ready to provide me with any request I may have. I like that Cable TV and Internet are available and easy to use. I would highly recommend this "hidden gem" to those looking for the best quality at the most reasonable rates in Shenzhen.

Some of the staff know me now as it was my second visit, and one particular member of staff Toby Tang went the extra mile to ensure my stay there was enjoyable. He would help in any way possible and if there was anything that needed to be fixed he would see to it straight away.

1. I found the staff of the Minland Hotel very good and the rooms were clean and tidy and contained all necessary facilities. For the price it was very adequate for my needs and I would stay there again.
There are two things which in my opinion need to be improved. Hot food at breakfast needs to be hot. There was little choice really in terms of western food.
Secondly, I do not know who chose the decor, but it looks like someone' idea of 1899 decor rather than 1999 when the hotel was built. It badly needs a makeover, to get rid of the brown colours everywhere.
2. The booking experience was fine and I found the response quick and very helpful. I would use it again.
