Metropark Hotel Xiamen (Former Minnan Hotel) is a four-star hotel which is managed by CTS Hong Kong Metropark Hotels Management Co., Ltd. Located in the financial and commercial center of the city, with a picturesque lake view, the hotel is designed to be luxurious with well-equipped facilities. It's only 5 minutes' drive to the Railway Station and 20 minutes' drive to Xiamen Airport. The hotel is the best choice for you business or travel in Xiamen. All 190 comfortable rooms are above 22nd floor, offering a panoramic view of the city. All rooms are equipped with the internet access of broad band, IDD, in-house movies satellite TV and mini-bar. Located on the top floor of the hotel, with an open view, the rotative restaurant oversees the whole city. With 200 seats and VIP rooms, the Chinese Restaurant is well designed for variour banquets or receptions.

All of the Hotel’s guest rooms are located on or above the 22nd floor, and they each offer commanding views of the city.   • Revolving restaurant: 34 Floor There is a Chinese and western buffet restaurant located on the 34th floor of the Hotel. The restaurant is the only revolving restaurant in Xiamen and offers commanding views of the entire city. Dine on top-class cuisine as you enjoy the night scape of the 'Garden on the Sea’ amidst pleasant melodies. Opening Hours: 06:00-00:00

1. Though this was our first experience in China, the overall assessment of this country, in particular, Xiamen is excellence, we were impressed by the infrastructures in term of road, transport, building, food and of course shopping. Whilst we stayed in this 4-star hotel, we had enjoyed the great hospitality treatment, the reception staff are friendly, well-trained and helpful, the service staff are well-mannered and proficent in the room service. The Minnan Hotel is well located at Hubin South Road, easily accessible by public transport, both taxi and bus, there are many shophouses nearby for convenience. The Hotel rooms are located from 22nd floor onwards, the window view is beautiful both in the day and night, the room is air-conditioned and fully equipped, with at least a 30-channel television programmes, telephone, alarm clock, a torch (for emergency use we guess), mini fridge, fresh fruits (apple, pear and banana), electric kettle, flask and tea set with complimentary chinese tea-leaf, it would be even better if complimentary bottles of mineral water are provided daily for those who do not appreciate of the chinese tea drinking. Full toilet facility with toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, bath gel, body lotion, comb, sewing kit, shoe shine, etc. The only comment we have is the furniture a bit old, but the overall feeling is warm, feel like at home. The breakfast is served at top of the building, 34th floor, at the revolving (from 8am and 8pm) restaurant where the ful veiw of the Xiamen city including the lake is captured just below your feet, especially at night when the whole city is lighted up with coloured neon lights. The buffet breakfast is excellence with varieties of traditional chinese foods to choose from and so is the dinner (not very expensive).

2. The booking of the hotel is simple through internet and fast respond, the only comment we have is: can the confirmation with VISA details be done online or through email, rather than have to fax it separately. Our booking experience with TCG is pretty smooth without had to use any phone or MSN services.
