The Motel 168 in Suzhou was good. I have no complaint. What I particularly liked about it was the fact that it was just across the river from the Coach Station which I could walk to in 15 minutes and not far walking distance from the centre of town. The facilities were good and the staff although they had limited English was very helpful. I would rate the hotel 8 out of ten.

Rooms are simple, clean and in good condition. Staff was friendly although communication was difficult; it wasn't possible to get any advice at reception. Location is good for those interested in visiting the gardens and temples but it's a taxi ride to the centre of town if you're more interest in nightlife.

The hotel was simple but nice. The staff was very friendly, but the poor English was a problem. They couldn't assist or inform me about tourist attractions. Not even an English map of SuZhou was available. The hotel was a little bit off-track, so I changed to another Motel 168 in the center of SuZhou after three days. The rates of both the hotels were very affordable.
The booking through TCG was perfect and will be of great help for future trips to China (I was already 7 times in China for holiday). Keep in mind that the location of the hotel is very important. So that information should be on the site all the time.

Regarding the Motel 168 in Suzhou. I have never stayed in such a noisy hotel before. I had to ask the manager to quiet down some guests around 2am. They should have rules regarding noise or at least someone that goes to all the floors of the hotel and check if all is well. The staff was very helpful!!!
