The only good thing about this hotel is location. Arriving very late at night we had to stay the first night. We intended to stay for 4 nights but moved out the next day. The carpets is extremely dirty and torn, the bed linen is smelly. We found much better value for money 50m from the door at the Shijia Inn, it was cleaner with very helpful staff. This place is a dump - even for a budget traveler, give it a skip.

Location was very good, close to The Bund, Nanjing Road pedestrian street, Mc Donalds and KFC on walking distance. Very close to metro, just walk a couple of minutes through exit 6 @ East Nanjing Road station. Reached Hotel from Pudong International Airport for 7 Yuan by metro.

Room size a bit low, Wifi was very slow and AC was not cool enough even put to 16'C on remote.
Value for money, suitable for budget travelers, would stay again.

Overall, it was alright. The staff gave us a room in the 4th floor but there was no elevator to the 4th floor so we had to upgrade. The room was quite run down ( dirty carpets, hole in the wall etc) and old but everything was in working condition. The only advantage I say was having free internet. The bathroom has a clear window offering no privacy but it was clean. The female staff was kind of hostile but the guys were okay and did speak some English.

Location - very good, 500m to The Bund, 500m to Nanjing Road Walking Street Mall, 300m to Metro Subway, 100m to laundry shop, many restaurants and shops and convenience stores within walking distance.

Room size - very small, special queen room for two persons only about 10 sq m .
Staff service - reasonable. Staff speak English, and are quite helpful.

Hi, I would like to know if it's possible to have an early check in without charge? We will be arriving from Beijing by train during the morning (around 8 or 9 am) then we plan to go straight to Motel 168, fix our stuff and ourselves then go out. We will be back during the evening. Hi, the free early check in depends on the room status when you check in. To ensure the early check in, you need to pay extra charge.

Will just probably leave our bags in the concierge in case the room is not available or if the extra charge is high and just change clothes for the day while in the train or in the toilet of Motel 168. ;-)

There is one King-size bed and one single bed in the family room, which could accommodate 3 persons. The hotel is close to East Nanjing Road metro station and you could take the subway line 2 to Pudong airport directly. If you’d like to take the maglev train, you could take the subway line 2 to Longyang Road station first and take the maglev train to Pudong airport.

I stayed at the hotel once. There is only one bed 1.35m X 2m available in the special price room. The room rate listed includes 15% service charges. If you consume some other service in the hotel, there would be additional charges.

Of course, you can visit Shanghai at that time. However, due to the National Holiday, there would be great many visitors. Thus, it is better for you to arrange the accommodation well in advance. For economical accommodations near the bund, hotels like Motel 168 (The Bund) Shanghai, Manhattan Jinling Business Hotel, Manhattan Bund Business Hotel, Shanghai and etc are suggested.

I stayed at the hotel once. Their breakfast is very simple. For instance, bread, milk, porridge and etc are provided. But there are many restaurants nearby East Nanjing Road outside of the hotel.
