If in NanChang visit LeBistro100 located on RongMen Lu #100. It is a european stlye restaurant with European food. Opened my an American who has spent many years working and traveling in Asia. Fodd is very good and the best western food available in NanChang if not in China.

It is said that this sofitel hotel in Nanchang opened in this year. The decoration in the lobby and room are modern and new. Receptionists can speak very fluent English to communicate. Room I stayed is very comfortable. 32 LCD screen TV, nice linens, strong pressure hot water, clean sheet make me very satisfied with their service.
The only flaw is the hotel is located in the new business district, which is a little far from the busy town. It takes 20 minutes at least by taxi from the hotel to the city center. But it's not a problem for me. I would like to come back again.

I have travelled internationally since 1988 and am truly disappointed in the "Sofitel" hotel.
It is not Sofitel (have stayed in sofitles in Europe, Vietnam, North America) - this is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star lobby.
1. The carpets in the rooms are filthy - black at the entrance and carries through the room
2. The air conditioning does not work (room at 24.6) - had to get a fan, open window and open hall door to keep the room cool (in November)
3. The restaurant is not "Western" - 2 pasta, 1 pizza, 4 sandwiches
4. The staff are not helpful unless you have a Chinese person with you to breate them
