General

Guangzhou Nanyang King's Gate Hotel has been put into use since 2005. It is located in the centre of Tianhe District and faces to the charming White Cloud Mountain. Adopting the French ‘Versailles’ architectural style, the hotel was constructed with palatial hall, which exhibits flourishing and honorable royal style extremely. The hotel covers an area of more than 40,000 square meters, the main building of which has a 25-storey main building and many blocks of sub-buildings. The guest room is quietly elegant with internet, computer, large screen TV set, etc. Some rooms are equipped with imported massage bathtub. As for extended service, there are imperial Chinese restaurant, western restaurant, multifunctional large-scale conference hall, international club, fitness centre, billiard saloon, table tennis room and so on. Hi everybody....
I do not suggest this hotel at all... we had a very bad experience there due to BED BUGS... my boss has beat like 150 times and they just change him the rooms....
If you make a quick searching in the internet you can easily understand of what I'm talking about....

Sorry, I didn't like anything the hotel. It isn't a 5 starts, it is only a 3 starts. I changed the room I booked when I arrived in the hotel to superior. The room to small and the toilet very, very small and you didn't have for shower and gel, really very bad. I will never go again and the hotel it is far from the east railway station, very bad located. Never, never again. One gain 3 starts hotel and very, very bad located, I will suggest my friends not to go to this hotel.

My experience booking through TCG center was "Excellent", I liked very much and I will do it again. I've booked with you before, in Beijing, HK, Ningbo, etc and always very, very good. One gain my next booking will be with you again. Since I knew you I have suggested to many people your service, you work very well.

* This is not my first time booking through TCG. Booking process has high rate. Specially to know tracking no of booking is very good idea for further contacts in case of changing booking dates.

Our reason for visiting turned out to be a disappointment but the Hotel and the city were beautiful and even the weather was nice for them middle of winter. We just needed a light jacket when outside. There were no restaurants near the hotel although the hotel had restaurants. We wanted to experience some nice local restaurants other than the hotels and had to take a taxi to find any. The only other complaint I had was the taxi drivers would refuse to take you in spite of a local law prohibiting them from refusing a fare. They did not like making short trips. We had dozens of taxi's pass us by when they were empty and as many more refuse to take us on short trips. When we were out we had to go to a local hotel and catch a taxi there as they could not refuse for fear of the hotel reporting them. Taxis in every other city in China are always fighting for your fare, but not in Guangzhou. This seemed very strange to me. The taxi's drivers we actually did use were very friendly and helpful though. Also use the taxi stand at the airport rather than one of the people acting as a taxi driver in the terminal. Ask your hotel what the price from the airport should be and then you know if you have been on an extended ride or not. Generally it is at least 30 minutes to town and to our hotel it was almost 40 minutes in traffic and 100 RMB or less. Time in traffic adds to your fare so they are not in a hurry to get anywhere.

The staff at the TCG Booking Center was extremely helpful and made it a pleasure to use. I made more than a couple of email enquiries before booking our room and was completely satisfied with the service I received. We will most certainly use them on future visits. You may use my review in any way you wish.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Nanyang King's Gate Hotel. We stayed in an older section of the Hotel called the Louvre which one of three separate buildings. Our only problem was that our building apparently only had one elevator and it always seemed to be full with workers moving laundry or carts and several times we had to wait as they went down and unloaded then the elevator would go to the top floor and more workers would be in it when it came down. We started riding it up so the workers would wait for us to get down to the 1st floor. The room was nice and the beds were larger than I had expected for the standard room. The free high speed internet in the room was great and the business center was great for printing out documents and faxing them. The dining room served an excellent breakfast with eggs cooked to order.
