I was the business guest of a Ningbo company in June 2009 in this hotel during a consumer fair. I had a very nice and big room with a king size bed, a brand new digital television and a comfortable bathroom. Very important for me was the highspeed Internet connection in my room. I had never difficulties with Web connections to Europe or to read very fast my mailboxes in Switzerland and Germany. The staff was very friendly and most of them were speaking English. I come back to the Nanyuan during my next visit in Ningbo.

The lobby is huge and gorgeous. It offers a grand yet warm welcome upon arrival and it never ends. The receptionists are all excellent. They are very friendly, helpful. After checking in at the front desk the girl showed us over to the elevator and accompanied us while we waited for the elevator. The room is nicely appointed. It's fairly large and comfortable and well equipped with amenities. The breakfast buffet is very nice.
It was a good mix of western and Chinese dishes. They have fresh squeezed juice, prepared on the spot. They also have an omelette station with a very friendly cook. The ambiance of the dining area was also very nice and elegant.
At last, the location is also very convenient. It's only about 5 mins by tax to Tianyi Square, one of Ningbo's largest shopping and dining areas.

The accommodation at the Nanyuan Hotel Ningbo China was very good. The room was well appointed and the surroundings were high class. The staff went out of their way to make the stay memorable. Suggestion to the hotel to improve the comfort of their Australasian guests would be to add an Australian TV channel (like channel nine) to their cable network.
