New Era Hotel with unique designed feature is situated on Shuncheng Wangfujing shopping center, close to many famous chain stores like Wal-Mart, McDonald's, Parkson, Gome and Suning. The surrounding financial center is convenient for guests taking business travel. The hotel opened in 1998 and refurnished in 2006 has 315 different rooms all with complete functions and modern facilities, especially the fancy and luxurious Executive Floors on 26th and 27th floor. Guests could find Chinese and Western restaurants with elegant decoration on 28th floor. The hotel is also equipped with large multi-function conference hall, banquet hall, fitness center and card room, which is an ideal choice for business, meeting and tourism.

Great location...walking distance to malls and food area and groceries. Staff is helpful and attentive. Free shuttle service to and from airport. We had a very good experience with this hotel.

This hotel is right in the centre of Kunming and superb value for money. The rooms are well equipped and the staff, by and large, is helpful and attentive. The breakfast is fantastic with western and Chinese choices as well as sushi and much more. With regards to the noise, make sure you get a room on a higher floor. You can also arrange free pick-up from Kunming airport if you let the hotel know your time of arrival beforehand. This is recommended as the airport is not for the fainthearted!

Communication from TCG was very good and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The business service helped me even when I was back from holiday: During my holiday in Kunming, I had sent a parcel to Beijing, which returned back because the address had moved. I had many difficulties to check where the parcel landed. 3 month later I asked the hotel whether they could help me, and they could do it successfully.

I stayed here last year and again this year. I wouldn't consider any other hotel in Kunming. The location is city center and I could walk to many places. The service is excellent and the staff are the most helpful I have encountered in my six trips to China. A++++

The air con does not work well, situated in a very noisy town with a lot of honking, the city is in development. The room is not very nice, but very nice staff.
