Hotel is very good: large room, good location, and professional staff. We liked that the subway station is only couple blocks away. You could go anywhere with the metro. There are many local cafes around the hotel with absolutely great food. The only problem was that the swimming pool was under reconstruction and there weren’t any advance notification about it.
Booking service is excellent. Our flight was delayed due to the weather conditions and TCG Booking Center communicated with the hotel and informed about the situation.

The experience was very positive. The location and the rooms were great, the staff was mostly very helpful. We were traveling with a small baby and our experience was so positive that we plan to stay in the same place again.
Both booking and subsequent check in were completely trouble-free.
I would definitely use your services again.
Best regards,
Vilem

We stayed on the 26th floor, with the view to People's Square. Nothing beat the view, day time or night time.
We walked north from Guang Xi road (the other gate) for 1 km to the famous Nan Jing street (pedestrian only area). We then walked east for another 1.3 km to the Bund. It was worth the whole trip to Shanghai.
We took a 2 bed room apartment, lot of space, everything is fairly new. We got fridge, microwave, washing machine, drinking water, and kitchen. There is a supermarket 10 meters from the hotel gate, a fresh produce & meat market 100 meters further down the street. Basically we can cook in. One room has a queen bed, the other a double bed, and a single bed in the lounge room.
We had some waiting at the reception when booking in (30 minutes), as they had to fill out all the forms manually. Generally, the reception staff were not as cheerful as most of the hotels we have been to. The staff at the restaurant and the laundry was much better.
The bathroom had the bath tub doubled up as a shower, it looked dirty. The plug was removed leaving an ugly hole. We had a problem with the toilet being blocked, with water spilling out to the floor. We alerted the hotel and they got it fixed and cleaned within 20 minutes.
Overall we enjoyed the view of Peolple's Square, and the high rises, also looking down to the highway at night, white lights (front of the cars) going one way and red lights (back of the cars) going the other. We enjoyed the night life in Shanghai, and lucky enough to be on 26th floor so that the street noise did not get to us, and we had good sleep day or night.
We would stay again at New Harbour Service Apartment the next time we are in Shanghai.

Stayed here at the New Harbor apartments just for one night with my wife as we were on a stop over on the way back to New Zealand from London. The hotel is excellent and we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment. The food was very good. Waitress service excellent and the desk was very good. Their English was good enough. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. It was 37 deg heat while we were there and the rooms and lobby were all air conditioned well .Everything worked well. Bath-shower with plenty of hot water. loved the area. Real China.
Thanks again.

As requested, I have the following feedback regarding our stay at New Harbour Service Apartment. I found the service offered by TravelChinaGuide to be excellent. I booked our accommodation via the internet and was a little dubious about sending the full cost to an unknown company in a foreign country. However, I found that your service was honest, speedy, efficient and very courteous. We did have a small problem with the money transfer but this was our problem and not that of TravelChinaGuide. In fact, TravelChina were patient and helpful whilst we were sorting this out. I would suggest that a credit card transfer would be an easier method of money transfer.
We were also very happy with the hotel. Some of the staff were able to speak English and were happy to help us with directions and taxi’s etc. This was very helpful because there was a real language problem with taxis. Our rooms were clean and comfortable but we found the beds unbearably hard. The breakfast supplied was
excellent. The one major problem with the apartment was that there were no utensils in the kitchen. We expected to find enough cutlery and dishes for the six people booked in but were disappointed to find none. This is most unusual and certainly unexpected.
I hope you find my feedback helpful. I would certainly use you again should I travel to China again.
