Nice hotel, well situated. Buffet breakfast was a zoo, but it was good. Check in and check out took a really really long time. I would stay there again.

Originally asked for a standard room. Very small, bathroom door swing blocked the bath sink and difficult to get in. Complain about the cramped bathroom. Able to change room for a little more money. Room was clean and service adequate. Very good location to subway, Peoples' Park and various restaurants. Short walk to the shopping section of Nanjing West Road. Old hotel with historical ambiance of years past. Good hotel but not great.

my hotel was well booked in Shanghai when I arrived, at the price I had agreed with you. It is a very very well located place in the city and even the standard rooms are OK with this old english fashioned furniture. It is clean, I had no view from my window, but if I wanted to see anything I just had to go out. I did not use the facilities in the hotel, no breakfast (I could boil myself a tea with the kettle) , no restaurant, so I cannot judge. Once, I had a drink and noticed that the waitresses, young and helpful, were not able to bring the drink and the nuts at the same time...
Anyway a place that I alredady recommanded to my friends.

July 30 - August 1, 2006. This Hotel is conveniently located for shopping and sightseeing, and has an excellent restaurant. I had requested information from the Concierge by letter in advance. All the information was provided in great detail when I checked in. The room was large and comfortable for two people.

PC with free internet access!! And it is located near the central area -Nanjing road where the main action is going on. All the famous places are near-by.
