In my opinion, it is the most distinctive hotel in Macau and we really like it very much. The hotel location is far from the city center; instead, it is located near the historical sites of Macau. The building of the hotel preserved the original scene of the city.
Hotel service is good and the staff are friendly and considerate. Facilities (including some modern equipment) are quite good for such an antique hotel. The wooden furniture in the guestroom is perfectly-kept and adds simplicity to the hotel.
Drawbacks: Transportation and shopping are not very convenient since it is far from the city center. Besides, there is no lift available and there are many stone steps. This is a problem for those aged and disabled.
However, for us, the hotel is really an excellent choice. We rally enjoyed our stay (last October) and will visit again definitely.
